PostgreSQL Developer – Consutant
Core Business Operations (Overall)
Core Business Operations is an integrated set of Offerings that addresses our clients’ heart-of-the-business issues. This Portfolio combines our functional and technical capabilities to help clients transform, modernize, and run their existing technology platforms. Moreover, this Portfolio seeks to enhance our clients’ business operations, and help them take advantage of new technologies. As our clients navigate dynamic and disruptive markets, these solutions are designed to help them drive product and service innovation, improve financial performance, accelerate speed to market, and operate their platforms to innovate continuously.
As a Portfolio we also have the specific responsibility of driving our strategy and investment around Cloud. This focus, in addition to our previously established software engineering and operational transformation capabilities, positions us for long-term success in the market.
Work You’ll Do
- By bringing together operations, technology, and run capabilities, our practitioners have opportunities to develop knowledge and experience in current industry trends, as well as the technologies that can help solve today’s toughest problems.
- Our diversity of Offerings gives practitioners more options for building core and adjacent skills in areas they feel passionate about.
Qualifications and Experience
- B. Tech / BE / MCA, Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Overall 4 to 6 years of experience working on Database Architecture, DB Modelling, DB development particiluarly with PostgreSQL
- Estimate PostgreSQL database capacities; develop methods for monitoring database capacity and usage. Good knowledge on PGAdmin.
- Experience in pg_stat_Kcache
- Develop Stored Procedures in Postgres
- Experience in logical and physical data modelling.
- Experience in converting data model from Oracle to Postgres and knowledge about converting Oracle table partitions to Postgres
- Responsible for regular maintenance on databases (e.g., Vacuum, Reindexing, Archiving).
