Work you’ll do

The Deloitte Managed Services & Products practice launched a new service in the forensics space to detect fraud, waste, and abuse in various industries. The Anti-Fraud Waste and Abuse solution (“AFES”) continues to increase the capacity, quality, and efficiency of the Deloitte forensic processing by utilizing state-of-the-art technology and machine learning in a dedicated environment. We have an urgent need for a Data Scientist to join the Deloitte Analytic & Forensic Technology practice. Here are just some to the things you will be doing:

• Translate client needs into robust end to end analytical solutions
• Ensure the successful onboarding of new clients in the AFES platform
• Think creatively about how existing functionality can be extended to serve the needs of new clients
• Review deliverables for accuracy and quality

The team

As a member of the AFES GPS implementation team in a Data Visualization role, you will be responsible for onboarding new clients into the AFES product. On a day to day basis, you will be helping ensuring integration of AFES rules and models to client specific data. As part of these projects, you’ll be provided the opportunity to demonstrate your technical, project management and leadership skills in an environment that provides for outstanding growth and advancement.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Business Analytics disciplines, or related area
• Develop intuitive, attractive, and interactive data visualizations using human resources and financial data for websites, daily/annual/quarterly reports, presentations to stakeholders and a wide range of system users

• • • Proficient in Tableau or other reporting tools
    • Comfortable operating in a Linux environment
    • Some limited experience working with machine learning models

• Distill quantitative and qualitative data to communicate compelling stories to diverse audiences
• Establish data visualization standards and explore new, cutting-edge tools to periodically raise those standards
• Provides hands-on technical solutions to business challenges & translates them into process/technical solutions
• Interprets requirements, performs highly complex analyses and presents options and recommendations to obtain desired results
• Create, update and edit technical design specifications and solutions to satisfy project requirements
• Participate in code and design reviews and technical presentations to cross functional staff
• Develops advanced technological ideas and guides development into a final product
• Assists and works under minimal supervision in layouts, product support, devices, methods or procedures
• Provides daily supervision and direction to junior technical staff
• Responsible for managing client relationships within context of the individual role
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple, dynamic priorities
• Effective communication skills and demonstrated experience working in a team-oriented environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of graphics and visualization tools such as OBIEE/ODV, Qlik, BusinessObjects, Tableau, Cognos, SAS, etc.
• Experience with creating custom charts/graphs using java scripts and integrations with open source charting libraries

• Experience working in a cloud environment particularly, AWS
• Familiarity with modern DevOps principals such as Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery
  • Experience working with DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, or similar is a plus
• Experience working in an AGILE development team
