Business Analyst

At Deloitteโ€™s USI Core Business Operations (CBO) we are looking for individuals to be part of our Operations Transformation offering. At Operations Transformation offering we focus on solving core business problems our clients face, often called the โ€œheart of the businessโ€ issues. We help our clients create a flexible, innovative future ready business model supported by strong strategic and operational foundation.

As a Portfolio, โ€˜Operations Transformationโ€™ practice brings deep industry experience, rigorous analytical capabilities and a pragmatic mindset to solve clients’ most complex business problems. Within OT, professionals shall be required to DESIGN the enterprise operating model required to deliver an organizationโ€™s strategic intent. They shall LEAD solutions and programs that translate the strategy into executable initiatives and EXECUTE and SUSTAIN tailored solutions through Operations Transformation offerings, combined with other portfolios, offerings, and functions. Operating Model Transformation is a part of Core Business Operations offering portfolio.

Core Business Operations is an integrated set of Offerings that addresses our clientsโ€™ heart-of-the-business issues. This Portfolio combines our functional and technical capabilities to help clients transform, modernize, and run their existing technology platforms. Moreover, this Portfolio seeks to enhance our clientsโ€™ business operations, and help them take advantage of new technologies. As our clients navigate dynamic and disruptive markets, these solutions are designed to help them drive product and service innovation, improve financial performance, accelerate speed to market, and operate their platforms to innovate continuously.

What Will You Do?

Your work will entail the following:


Client Engagements:

  • Apply core capabilities (listed above) across industry operations such as Digital Payments Strategy and Transformation, Digital Banking, Insurance Underwriting Transformation, Provider Performance Improvement, Medicare Advantage, Revenue Cycle Innovation, etc.
  • Analyze and interpret structured and unstructured data, draw conclusions and build strategic insights for the client based on quantitative and qualitative research
  • Perform strategic and operating model analysis for clients to solve for existing problems or prepare for the upcoming business and technology trends in the market
  • Perform detailed, quantitative analysis and research (primary and secondary), develop scenario specific business cases and financial models
  • Work with client and Deloitte stakeholders to define engagement specific priorities, participate in interviews/workshops and develop engagement specific deliverables


Desired Profile/ Qualifications


Core Consulting Skills:

  • Clear and concise communication: strong written and verbal communication skills โ€“ participate in client interviews, workshops/trainings and present recommendations
  • Good executive presence: interact and build relationships with clients/senior stakeholders and other team members
  • Analytical thinking: ability to perform detailed, quantitative analysis and research (primary and secondary). Synthesize and present insights and recommendations from data
  • Logical structuring: structured approach to problem solving and ability to perform root cause analysis of client problems
  • Good team player: work collaboratively with other team members to pursue collective team goals


Required Experience:

  • Experience of analyzing market landscape (trends, risk, regulatory, competition analysis) using primary and secondary sources of data to derive insights for the client
  • Experience in business analysis, identifying business requirements from diverse stakeholders, understanding user journeys and functional processes


Preferred Experience

  • Consulting / Corporate Strategy / Business function experience in one of the following industries – Banking, Capital Markets, Insurance, Health Plans, Providers, Life Sciences, Pharmacy Benefit Managers
  • Experience in cost reduction and opportunity insights development, financial modeling and business case development, alignment of business processes with business strategy and IT/ vendors
  • Exposure to emerging technologies and understanding of how they are used for solving business / industry problems (e.g., digital transformation, robotics and process automation, blockchain, FinTech, service-based delivery models, etc.)
  • Exposure to working in non-Indian geographies (preferably the US) and / or interacting with global stakeholders


Qualifications:

  • Post-graduation (MBA or Masterโ€™s in healthcare/hospital management, banking and financial management) AND 1-2 years of relevant experience (post Masters)


Preferred Requirements:

  • Domain and skill-based certifications like CFA, PAHM, FAHM, CSM, CSPO, CAPM, AINS, LOMA, PMI-ACP, IAPM, PMP and others
