The Role
Delphix is looking for a Director of Engineering with a strong background of hiring, mentoring, and leading Engineering teams. We are looking for a passionate and influential leader who can manage diverse, smart, and driven engineers to rapidly deliver high quality products while balancing personnel challenges with business requirements and priorities.
Responsibilities :
- Lead the overall Data Virtualization Development activities in India
- Lead 3 data platforms teams with 3 managers reporting into you
- Coordinating with US leadership on roadmap, goals and company objectives
- Provide leadership, management as well as technical leadership for the Delphix Data Platforms engineering organization
- Ensure your teams are able to effectively deliver on short term goals while enabling the engineering organisation to raise the bar on quality and agility
- Direct and manage software engineering resource allocation and schedules
- Provide suitable decision making for product development and software engineering maintaining sensitivity to constraints and business needs
- Coach and mentor your team members, direct reports and peers to be the best they can be while attracting and hiring key talent to up level the organisation
- Assist removing technical obstacles, create and enhance team processes, handle resource issues and interact with varied members to assure sprint iteration and product release successful delivery
Who You Are :
- An accomplished thought leader in rapidly delivering the highest quality products and services to your customers while balancing business priorities and resource constraints
- A minimum of 15 years of experience with 8+ years of management experience managing at least one manager as a direct report
- Experience managing enterprise software (or similar) development team(s)
- Has a passion for improving user experience and technical efficiency
- Leads by example, takes everyone along, is hands-on and has a passion to drive for success
- Can communicate with transparency and clarity and establish strong partnerships with everyone
- Ready to roll up your sleeves and work through technical challenges with your team
- Sets clear expectations and creates a positive work environment based on accountability and ownership
- Works well under pressure and is able to shift priorities as needed
- Has Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience required
