The Global Sales Analytics & Performance team is responsible for the creation, measurement, and tracking of key Global Sales initiatives, and enabling Sales Development and Sales Development teams in their mission to maximize revenue and improve Delta’s industry leading performance. The Specialist position will share primary ownership of initiatives and/or suite of summary datasets as well as ad hoc reporting/analysis at all levels of granularity.
The position will report to the Manager – Analytics & Data Engineering and will be based in Atlanta.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Comprehensive understanding of the data sources used within the commercial organization and Sales such as RPAD, CDS, MIDT, DDS, QSI, OAG, etc.
- Location, extraction, and data manipulation of various sources for analytical consumptions with an emphasis on timeliness and accuracy
- Development and education of Sales on proper use of GSAP created tools and data
- Create and present analytically sound, complex ideas, and thought-provoking recommendations to Sales Leaders
- Lead sales teams and cross-divisional groups to develop future reporting infrastructure and data tools
- Work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple ongoing deliverables
- Fulfill ad hoc requests / analysis for Sales Leaders with effective communication
- Be an independent worker, seeking process improvements with innovative solutions
- Practice safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures

What You Need To Succeed (minimum Qualifications)
- Ability to work well with others in a time sensitive and team environment with minimal supervision
- Advanced expertise with SQL or a programing language such as Python or R
- Working knowledge of analytical tools such as: SAS, Hyperion, and advanced Excel functionality
- Strong analytical, quantitative, leadership and communication skills
- Solution-oriented and capable of meeting or exceeding deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Must be performing satisfactorily in current position
- Where permitted by applicable law, must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire to be considered for U.S.-based job, if not currently employed by Delta Air Lines, Inc.

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (preferred Qualifications)
- Experience with Unix, Tableau, or Alteryx
- Knowledge of airline metrics, competitive market position, sales strategies, and DL core data tools
- Bachelor’s degree, or 5 years minimum experience required. Master’s degree in quantitative field (Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering or related)
- Experience in Revenue Management, Network Planning, Sales Development
