How you’ll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)
The Business Performance team provides strategic insight through first understanding business processes and second leveraging data and analytics to drive continuous improvement efforts. Technical Support Analysts will be asked to work closely with leaders to develop creative solutions to current business challenges. We are looking for data curious individuals that seek to understand process and can connect with our business partners to leverage data and drive improvement.
Data has transformed the way Delta operates. The Business Performance team is the core of strategic analysis for the Delta TechOps Services Group (DTSG). The team’s mission is to maintain and continuously improve upon the monthly, quarterly, and yearly reporting to leaderships within Delta as well as with our suppliers outside of Delta. You will also be called upon to leverage data from operational data sources to develop analysis and statistical models that drive actionable insight for the business.
Expert working with visualization tools to convey metrics, (Tableau, Alteryx, Excel, PowerPoint)
Work with all levels of management for KPI creation and goal setting
Support process improvement and project management engagements for both individual business units and cross-divisional initiatives
Present findings to DTSG leaders
Locate and extract data from a variety of sources for use in analysis
Develop advanced analytics solutions for complex business problems
Develop and implement reporting tools and performance management systems that generate actionable insights, drive accountability, and improve DTSG performance
Have a team first attitude with the success of our team and business partners as their top priority
Be comfortable presenting data and visualizations to leadership
Make things happen without frequent management direction and know when to communicate status or escalate issues to their manager, teammates or stakeholders.
Enjoy working in a high-profile environment with fluid priorities, ambiguity, and extremely aggressive deadlines.
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
- Embraces diverse people, thinking and styles
Consistently makes safety and security, of self and others, the priority
Bachelors Degree or 5 plus years of relevant experience
Experience in analysis, information science, data visualization, or another relevant quantitative field preferred.
Must be comfortable working in group and individual settings.
Successful candidates will have experience with some or all of the following: SQL, Alteryx, Tableau, Excel and PowerPoint.
Where permitted by applicable law, must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire to be considered for U.S.-based job, if not currently employed by Delta Air Lines, Inc.
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)
- Masters degree in analytics or related field
