How you’ll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)
The Project Manager is responsible for managing and delivering analysis and reporting on ATL hours and staffing, as well as the development and implementation of processes and programs that enable effective monitoring, analysis of and modification/correction to operational and financial performance. Responsible for in-depth ad-hoc analysis and reporting such as overtime analysis, scheduled hours tracking, leave of absence, sick, family medical leave.
The Project Manager will:
Work with the senior leaders in ATL to develop performance metric tools, labor/hour forecasting tools, and provide proactive recommendations to address staffing, hours, and financial plans
Develop automated data reports and analysis charts, graphs and presentations that enable more concentrated efforts of employee and hours management performance analysis; optimize existing manual dashboards and reports
Provide strategic and business advisory guidance, including the creation, implementation, and standardization of executive-level reports
Identify root causes and help implement global (cross-divisional) solutions
Lead a team to ensure appropriate on-going allocation of staff and hours management throughout the airport, as well as oversight of planning team to effectively drive operation in ATL to support the Flight Plan
Analyze attrition trends and provide hiring strategy recommendations
Identify process improvement opportunities and drive change in the hiring, onboarding, and training ribbon
Manage employee service center database
Mentor co-ops and junior level analysts
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
- At least 3 years of experience in resource planning and staffing project management and analytics
Experience with programming and statistical analysis software (SAS, Python, R or similar) and data visualization software (Tableau, PowerBI or similar)
Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Excel (XLookups/Countifs/Sumifs, VBA) and Power Point
Experience with resource planning and scheduling tools
Must have demonstrated leadership experience
Must have a proven track record of out of the box thinking and an ability to think large scale
Must be able to successfully execute and manage the scope, schedule, and budget of divisional and cross-divisional projects
Must be performing satisfactorily in current position

Where permitted by applicable law, must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire to be considered for U.S.-based job, if not currently employed by Delta Air Lines, Inc.
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)
- Experience with PowerApps and Sharepoint is strongly desired
Familiarity with MS Access or other database management systems is preferred
