How you’ll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)
The Airport Strategy Analytics & Reporting team provides strategic insight through first understanding business processes, and second leveraging data and analytics to drive continuous improvement efforts. This role specifically supports the Airport Customer Service (ACS) Airport Strategy Team, which has ownership of all activities at the airport from check-in, to baggage handling, and boarding the aircraft. The Sr Analyst will work closely with front-line leaders and the Airport Strategy Operations Performance teams to develop creative solutions to current business challenges throughout the customer travel ribbon. We are looking for data curious candidates who seek to understand processes and can connect with our business partners to leverage data and drive improvement.
Data has transformed the way Delta operates. The teams mission is to leverage data to develop analyses and streamline reports that drive actionable insights for the business and enable an efficient operation. For example, you may be asked to develop an analysis and report that measure how a change to the boarding process has affected NPS scores and on-time departure performance, taking the project from data sourcing, to analysis, to building a story and making recommendations.
The Senior Analyst will:
Locate and extract data from a variety of sources for use in analysis and reporting
Gather requirements then design and develop automated reports and analyses with direction from other senior members on the team
Support process improvement and project management engagements for both individual business units and cross-divisional initiatives
Present findings to Field Support and ACS leaders

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
- Familiarity and/or experience with some or all of the following: SQL, SAS, Tableau, Excel, and PowerPoint
Must be comfortable working in group and individual settings
2-3 years of experience in analysis, information science, data visualization, or other relevant quantitative field
Must be performing satisfactorily in current position
Embraces diverse people, thinking and styles
Consistently makes safety and security, of self and others, the priority
Demonstrates that privacy is a priority when handling personal data
Where permitted by applicable law, must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire to be considered for U.S.-based job, if not currently employed by Delta Air Lines, Inc.
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Science, Business/Management, Mathematics/Statistics, or other relevant quantitative field
