How you’ll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)
TheBusiness Performance team provides strategic insight through first understanding business processes and second leveraging data and analytics to drive continuous improvement efforts. Technical Support Analysts will be asked to work closely with leaders to develop creative solutions to current business challenges. We are looking for data curious individuals that seek to understand process and can connect with our business partners to leverage data and drive improvement.
Data has transformed the way Delta operates. The Business Performance team is the core of strategic analysis for the Delta TechOps Services Group (DTSG). The team’s mission is to leverage data from operational data sources to develop analysis and statistical models that drive actionable insight for the business. For example, you may be asked to develop an analysis on measuring queue life drives behavior in repair shops, taking the project from data sourcing, to analysis, to building a story and making recommendations.
Locate and extract data from a variety of sources for use in analysis
Expert working with visualization tools to convey root cause issues using Tableau and Alteryx
Perform ad-hoc analysis to provide operational insights to leadership
Willing to learn new tools and be able to adapt and excel them
Able to handle multiple tasks with competing priorities
Have a team first attitude with the success of our team and business partners as their top priority
Make things happen without frequent management direction and know when to communicate status or escalate issues to their manager, teammates, or stakeholders.
Enjoy working in a high-profile environment with fluid priorities, ambiguity, and extremely aggressive
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
- Embraces diverse people, thinking and styles
Consistently makes safety and security, of self and others, the priority
Bachelors Degree or 3 plus years of relevant experience
Experience in analysis, information science, data visualization, or other relevant quantitative field preferred.
Track record of seeking leadership roles including student and community organizations.
Must be comfortable working in group and individual settings.
Successful candidates will have experience with some or all of the following: SQL, Alteryx, SAS, R, Tableau, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Where permitted by applicable law,must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire to be considered for U.S.-based job, if not currently employed by Delta Air Lines, Inc.
