Design Technologies, founded 2008, supports first time founders of life science companies of any stage in four competitive entry NY metro accelerator programs. Over $2.3B has been collectively raised by 500 program alums of ELabNYC, ABCT, WCBA, and Next Milestone, 60% of whom participate in delivering the largest pipeline of ventures into Metro incubators, creating 1,000 new jobs, and helping build the regional ecosystem.
Design Technologies scours the community for innovators and rigorously screens ventures to join the 150 annual business education workshops and personalized networking activities to commercialize high impact innovations. Hundreds of practicing business mentors, successful founder coaches, sector leading corporate supporters and government are supported by a founder-focused team, working in partnership to advance pioneers in drug discovery, medtech, healthtech, and materials.
We seek a business data analyst with project management experience to join our team and help retrieve, organize, and analyze information in order to optimize and improve all aspects of Design Technologies business operations through ongoing program review, analysis communication and collaboration. The ideal candidate will leverage a variety of analytical tools ensuring data and metrics quality and conversion into actionable business insights.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Collecting, cleaning, and analyzing data for Database Management System creation
- Building and developing automated data collection system, data analysis, storage processes, reporting methodology and other strategies to optimize statistical efficiency and data-backed insights toward support business analysis, product development and marketing
- Implementing, monitoring, and maintaining the company’s CRM database
- Interpret key business data, present findings, and develop live dashboards to identify programs, ventures and mentorship KPI ‘s for continuous improvement initiatives
- Perform statistical analyses and develop graphs, reports, and presentations of project results
- Deliver Quarterly Reports for Corporate Partners
- Support business intelligence strategies with quantitative analysis
- Proactively facilitate analysis and interpret trends or patterns to identify problematic areas and conduct research to achieve easy access to verifiable and accurate data
- Use predictive modeling to optimize founders, mentors and municipalities experience and revenue generation
- Deliver recommendations on potential areas of growth, optimization, and improvements
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify new opportunities to drive business solutions
- May perform additional projects upon request (e.g., perform due diligence for prospective investments, support the organization’s strategic alliances and partnerships, etc.)
Requirements
Required Qualifications – Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in quantitative field (e.g., Business, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics)
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in the Analytics field (business analyst/data analyst/statistical analyst role); 5 years of experience preferred
- Experience on supporting database management, exploration, and reporting
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau/QuickSight/Power BI etc.)
- Familiarity within niche area of life sciences industry preferred
- Experience with:
- Data Entry
- Internet-based research
- Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook, Microsoft Teams)
- Experience with SQL and other query-based languages and BI tools
- Marketing Analytics is a plus: Google Analytics, etc.
