Our Corporate Bank Technology team is a global team of 3000 Engineers (and growing!) across 30 countries. The primary businesses that we support within Corporate Bank are Cash Management, Securities Services, Trade Finance and Trust & Agency Services. CB Technology support these businesses through CIO aligned teams and also by ‘horizontals’ such as Client Connectivity, Surveillance and Regulatory, Infrastructure, Architecture, Production, and Risk & Control.

In addition to providing cash management services like Payments to our customers, Corporate Bank is the payment service provider for the entire Deutsche Bank organization. As such, we have been tasked with ensuring technology and security risk for payments is within risk tolerance bank wide.

This role is for an Automation Engineer, to help automate JIRA functions using scripting tools/languages, as well as other automation related to Risk & Controls management. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with scripting, modern programming languages, development frameworks, databases, and both front end and backend development.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Create automations and solutions to provide views into compliance of key controls
  • Write and maintain scripting to automate functions in JIRA
  • Build and maintain interfaces to various controls systems for data ingestion
  • Build and maintain online dashboards using controls data
  • Build forecasting models on compliance to various controls
  • Build visualization frameworks for controls compliance
  • Assist other team in the adoption/use of the above.

Your Skills and Experience:

A minimum 3–5-year development experience utilizing a combination of the following:

Scripting languages:

  • Experienced in Windows PowerShell scripting (must have)
  • Experience with Unix scripting such as Bash
  • JavaScript/HTML/CSS

Experience in programming languages such as:

  • Python
  • JAVA
  • C/C++/C#

Experience/in depth understanding of frameworks such as:

  • Node JS
  • React
  • Angular

Experience with databases such as:

  • Oracle/PL-SQL & stored procedures
  • Sybase/T-SQL & stored procedures

Experience working with API’s and back-end integration

  • REST
  • JIRA API’s (must Have)

Development tooling:

  • Confluence
  • JIRA
  • Bitbucket
  • GIT

Experience with MS Office suite

  • Excel (vlookup, hlookup, pivot tables)

Experience with Tableau and building Tableau dashboards (must have)
