Overview:
This position forms part of the Financial Resource Management (FRM) group which sits in the Trust and Agency Services business. Working with the London FRM team, this role will work with senior management (offering regular dialogue with the business head) and product heads across the business, as well as infrastructure partners in Finance and Risk to best manage resource management (including risk) for the TAS business. For the right candidate, the role offers excellent exposure to senior business stakeholders and to act as the TAS FRM representative for APAC

Key Responsibilities: (not limited to)
- Daily monitoring of intraday credit and overdrafts. Follow up on overdrafts to understand underlying causes and any recurring themes; escalate concerns where necessary. Work with Client Services and Operations to ensure controls are fit for purpose.
- Prepare and enhance monthly risk oversight pack; be an active participant in presentation to head of the business.
- Review Credit Risk Weighted Assets (RWA) drivers for TAS; ensuring the credit RWA footprint and drivers for the TAS business are understood. Explore and implement opportunities for optimisation.
- Take ownership of TAS balance sheet reporting and forecasting MIS including monthly flash and FRM pack (sent to the TAS ExCo) including liaising with Sales for deal pipeline.
- Monitor financial resource consumption and work closely with stakeholders across the business to ensure optimal use of TAS assets (including CRDIV leverage exposure) and liabilities to maximise business profitability and returns.
- Support the delivery of off balance sheet (money market fund) solutions for clients through the provision of regular iMoneyNet reports.
- Automate regular reports and identify further opportunities to streamline processes
- Represent TAS FRM on intraday credit approvals
- Produce and distribute deposit interest rate card on daily basis
- Assist with Business Development initiatives where appropriate
Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in balance sheet management and/or risk management in a top tier financial institution.
- An understanding of/experience with CRDIV/ RWA would be preferable but not strictly necessary.
- Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
- Strong technical and analytical skills.
- The ability to challenge reasons given for overdrafts, to ensure underlying drivers are well understood and the controls in place are fit for purpose.
- The ability to manage senior stakeholders.
You will be:
- Self-driven, but able to work well with a team
- Highly proficient with MS Office suite; strong MS Excel skills e.g. be comfortable manipulating data with vlookups, pivot tables etc (VBA not a prerequisite) and strong MS PowerPoint skills to produce high quality output to be shared with senior stakeholders.
