Your key responsibilities
- Functions as an internal consultant for the applications support team for design review and quality, to ensure the product meets both time to market.
- Work with Solution Architect to analyse the new solutions and check for compliance with bank policies.
- Develops design and functional specifications, produces deliverables related to the project(s) assigned and assists in post implementation support and system improvements.
- Identifies the business needs of assigned user areas and translates these needs into system specifications.
- Conducts user interviews, contacts vendors, and performs independent research as required. Identifies and assists in resolving system, procedural or operational problems and makes recommendations to improve business functions
- Responsible for gathering, compiling and synthesizing information with regard to technology processes or systems.
- Possesses experience in implementation and support of resource planning.
- Actively ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and bank policies and procedures.
- Prepares formal proposals for management, recommending system solutions.
- Help to defines project scope and objectives for projects.
- Develops systems solutions requiring analysis and research.
- Works moderate to complex projects that require increased skill in multiple technical environments and possesses knowledge in a specific business area.
- Works on one or more projects as a project team member or sometimes as a project lead. May coach junior technical staff.
Your skills and experience
Experience/Exposure:
- Overall 6-8 years’ experience in IT in application development and maintenance (support)
- 4+ years’ experience in .Net/Java, MS SQL Server, Oracle, Apache/IIS
- Experience in stakeholder management and building excellent professional relationships
- Previous Banking Domain experience is a plus
- Experience of working with an agile methodology would be an advantage
- Experience of liaison with other departments (i.e. business units, infrastructure teams, audit) across multiple countries
- Experience in working with remote client and vendor resources
- Experience in identifying and documenting client technical needs, internal structures, procedures, workflows and systems
- Beneficial to have experience working on projects requiring data analysis
- Proven track record of delivering projects in a challenging environment
- Good written and oral communication
- Flexible – keen to learn new technologies and to extend business domain knowledge
- Good problem-solving skills
- Demonstrable success in meeting deadlines and operating with clients and vendors
- Work to schedules, potentially across multiple projects and teams
- Pragmatic yet showing a high attention to detail
Education | Certification (Recommended):
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or any other relevant field. An equivalent of the same in working experience is also acceptable for this position
