Data Warehouse Business Intelligence Analyst – Contract to Permanent Job
This Job is Remote but candidate must live in California.
We’re looking for someone to join our team as a Data Warehouse Business Intelligence Analyst who:
Defines strategy, solutions, data modeling standards, and processes for IT capabilities. Provides advanced support in all aspects of the design, mapping, development, and testing of data warehouse environment, with emphasis on the Extract-Transform-Lead (ETL) process. The role will model and design application data structures, storage, and integration in accordance with enterprise-wide architecture standards and processes. The individual collaborates closely with senior business and IT customers, users, and business analyst to understand the business and data requirements to create logical and physical data models for complex designs and solutions. Lead transformation delivery activities and provides oversight and technical checkpoints to enforce standards and quality of solutions. Mentor staff on IT best practices including data modeling for database implementation and design patterns for data integration projects. Document primary structured data assets and develop an enterprise model. Be responsible for working with departmental and enterprise data governance teams to ensure compliance.
Essential Functions:
- Developed SQL/stored procedures/ server scripts as needed to support Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) tools.
- Develops Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) source and target mapping design/specifications based on the business requirements and Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) standards and architecture. Aids in determining Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) hardware/software requirements and assist with production migrations.
- Database administration support defining and managing active directory groups. Working with information security and identify security to build any newly defined directory groups
- Designs and executes unit test plans and documents results. Ensures performance metrics are defined, met, and tracked and conducts quality assurance reviews. Maintains and develops project standards and documentation. Develops and manages project schedules/project work plans and leads design and development reviews.
- Leads the development of business intelligence applications. Identifies potential process and/or department-specific risks and assists in strategies to mitigate or resolve them.
- Leads the development of training materials for analytics applications.
- Provides support for escalated operational problems and technical issues. Collaborates with user community to gather and adequately document requirements for business intelligence applications.

You’ll be successful with the following qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
- Master’s Degree: Preferred
Work Experience:
- Five years applications development/programming and technical experience: Preferred
- Five years SQL experience: Preferred
- Experience with data quality tools and working with relational databases and programming concepts: Preferred
- Experience with Integration engines and/or Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) tools and relational reporting tools: Preferred
- Two years programming experience: Preferred
