job summary:
- Consult with IT Management, Analysts, other Developers, and end-users to gather information about program intent, functions, features, data requirements, input requirements, output requirements, internal and external checks, and controls, hardware and operating system environment, and interfaces with other systems.
- Assist in creating reports that are used with the software tools for departments.
- Help with the design of Ad-hoc reports that are used with our reporting tools and/or downloading of data into excel.
- Designs or writes documentation and test procedures for programs based on consultations with IT Management, Analysts, other Developers, and end-users.
- Test code to find causes of errors and suggest solutions to revise programs.
- Writes and maintains documentation of changes to programs and applications.
- Reviews technical documentation, written by others to confirm consistency with program operations.
- Provides technical assistance by responding to inquiries regarding errors, problems, or questions with programs.
- Trains end-users or technical support staff to use and support the programs.
- Coordinates with other Developers about program revisions.
- Effectively support remote users via phone to assist in answering questions on applications.
- Other duties may be assigned.
