Job Description:
The Arizona State Hospital (ASH) provides long-term inpatient psychiatric care to Arizonans with mental illnesses who are under court order for treatment. Treatment at ASH is considered the highest and most restrictive level of care in the state. Patients are admitted as a result of an inability to be treated in a community facility or due to their legal status. Hospital personnel provide state-of- the-art inpatient psychiatric care and are committed to treating patients and personnel with dignity and respect. In order to provide for daily operations, ASH maintains multiple in-house developed applications, as well as vendor products to provide patient care, maintain operations, and safety. This position will support new application development, as well as system enhancement efforts for the division’s applications including; Admissions Portal, Acuity Based Staffing, Quality Management, and other applications. This position will work closely with the project manager to elicit requirements from key stakeholders, which include; hospital executive leadership, medical and administrative professionals, and subject matter experts. The position will engage with software developers, UX designers, quality assurance, and business intelligence resources to ensure that the customers’ needs are forefront in the project. The role will be responsible for establishing best practices for requirements gathering, management, and tracking, facilitating JAD sessions, interviews, and other requirements gathering meetings, producing functional and non-functional requirements, visual process and project artifacts, training materials, or other documentation as needed.

Eliciting requirements for midsize to large projects Medical and technical writing Engaging with highly killed medical profe ional Facilitating JAD e ion, interviews, or other requirements gathering meetings Establishing standards for requirements documentation, MIS organization schema, and strategies for requirement management Ha worked with Azure DevOps, and is familiar with Jira, or other ticketing systems Familiarity with Google Suite tool and Office Product
Experience Preferred:
Experience in government, healthcare, or medical systems Figma, or other rapid prototyping tools
General knowledge of methodologies and techniques for systems analysis and design, business process modeling, requirement gathering, quality assurance, and software development Familiarity with Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK) Bachelor’s Degree plus 5 years of experience in business analysis (or equivalent experience)
Education Preferred:
Agile or SCRUM certification PMI certification Lean or Six-sigma
While this position has the option to telework, they will be expected to be on site as required by Business demand , and especially during on boarding ASH i an in patient psychiatric facility, and while interacting with patients is not a requirement of the position, personnel may from time to time pa through area where patient may be prevent Pur uant to CMS guideline , staff are required to be current on COVID-19 vaccination, and will be required to provide proof of vaccination at or before tart date Staff will be required to complete a blood te t at the date of tart to ensure the safety of the employee and the patient population. This is provided at no cost by medical staff on site.
