Requirements and Responsibilities;

- Strong understanding of relational database concepts, schemas, ERD, data mapping between dissimilar data architectures, data cleansing, ETL processes and best practices.
- Well versed on the Salesforce data models previous experience working with the Salesforce NPSP Data Model would certainly be advantages but not mandatory.
- Great documentation skills putting together technical documents such as data dictionaries, data mapping, data migration strategy and other data technical documents which requires to guarantee a successful data migration.
- Experience implementing best practice data quality and security measures with periodic reviews.
- Exposure to creating data-marts which consolidates data from various inhouse and 3rd-party sources to form a single view is certainly advantages.
- Communicate effectively with internal/external stakeholders at all levels.
- Understand business needs, determine data solutions to meet those needs, and document these solutions in the form of user stories and technical specifications that can be understood and implemented by the technical delivery team where you would be an integral part of.
- Participate in Data verification exercises and gather feedback from the customer and implement corrective, preventive measures.
- Contribute to test script writing working closely with the customer SMEs and Project Business Analyst.
- Design, develop and execute a data handling best practice mechanism and coaching staff ensuring alignment to the agreed data strategy.
- Be a valuable contributor to the data analytics and business intelligence initiatives of customers.
- Assist in planning and implementing a cloud-based Data Warehouse.
- Continuous improvement of the customer data landscape – Salesforce and other legacy data sources.
- Collaborate with internal/customer data team members and peer-review their work and documentation.
Qualification, Experience and Skills;
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer with hands on data migration experience preferably from legacy RDBMs such as PostgreSQL (or similar) to Salesforce.
- Intimate understanding of SQL, SOSL, SOQL – Scratch build scripts, edit and continually improve.
- Prior experience putting a data migration strategy together and taking a lead role in its execution working with customer stakeholders and the overall project delivery team.
- Degree in computer science or related field is strongly desired.
- Industry-recognised data certifications would be great to have and not mandatory.
- Experience in MS office, Visio, Lucid or similar data diagraming tools.
- Good understanding of IT infrastructure, integration into dissimilar systems (SOAP/RESTetc.) and enterprise solutions architecture would be a plus.
- Previous experience developing reports and dashboards within the Salesforce environment, Tableau or MS Power BI would be a plus.
