Job Description
TITLE: Lead Data Science Analyst
DUTIES: DFS Services LLC seeks Lead Data Science Analyst in Riverwoods, IL to work closely with management to execute analytical initiatives. Responsible for solving business problem by leveraging techniques such as segmentation, optimization, advanced analytics and machine learning. Create reports and dashboards to closely monitor performance metrics and provide insights. Lead the development and implementation of advanced analytics, including customer segmentation, optimization, prescriptive analytics, and machine learning algorithms, and make recommendations to solve business problems. Operate as a Subject Matter Expert on statistical analysis, test and design of experiments, analysis methodology, modeling and application, and financial impact analysis. Collaborate with cross-functional partners to understand their business needs, and formulate and complete end-to-end analysis that includes data gathering, analysis, ongoing scaled deliverables and presentations. Deliver effective presentations of findings and recommendations to multiple levels of leadership, creating visual displays of quantitative information. Establish and maintain effective performance tracking and identify improvement opportunity, form hypothesis, and propose, design, and implement tests to drive strategy enhancement and optimization. Manage multiple priorities, and communicate business performance and project progress to management and business partners. Develop and automate reports, and iteratively build and prototype dashboards to provide insights at scale, solving for analytical needs. Facilitate implementation of work product and ensure accuracy. Consistently follow standard work processes and documentation requirements. Recommend improvement to work processes to increase efficiency while maintaining quality of work. Continuously improve technical and leadership skills through training and development. Promote a risk-aware culture to ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation: coding in SQL, SAS, Python and R; presenting findings to large audiences; summarizing major business questions from the business, turning them into analytic topics, and explaining analytical steps towards them; managing several projects simultaneously, validating quality of the deliveries, keeping the requesters updated, and following the specified timelines properly; designing and visualizing Tableau and Excel dashboards to display metrics, recurring tracking, and business insights; and utilizing modeling skills, including machine learning and deep learning to develop strategy and enhance performance; designing and developing deep dives with robust sampling, reasonable statistical methods and comprehensive validation steps; analyzing with minimal guidance and pinpoint the potential issue with analytical findings and evidence. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in one of the above listed fields and two (2) years of experience in the above listed skills.
