Job Location: Lake Buena Vista, FL
Buena Vista Construction Company (BVCC) is a collaborative team focused and responsible for analyzing, forecasting, designing, and implementing construction and maintenance to all the Walt Disney World properties in Florida. Buena Vista Construction Company oversees project management and operations in multiple business models which include maintenance, construction, engineering, budgeting, asset management, forecasting, and planning. You will take an active role in improving and pursuing solutions to create efficiency throughout multiple channels within the division. You will also manage project budgets for BVCC construction projects, including working with the Construction Operations and Project Controls teams, to monitor and report on ongoing project performance results and financial status. Having an understanding of the dynamics of the building construction cycle. Tracking earned value, percent complete, and the ability to create Estimated Final Cost (EFC) projections. This role would be involved with developing database management solutions use of metrics to guide advancements in decision-making, storytelling, and policy creation.
You will report to the Manager, Business Management and Controls.
Responsibilities:
- Manage project budgets, expenditures, procurements/commitments, and EFC projections.
- Inspire creativity by transforming processes to gain efficiencies across the organization.
- Managing earned value formulation to maintain proactive measurement of project expenditures about the project schedule.
- Follow WDW guidelines on safety.
- Develop analytics to identify areas for improvement and change.
- Review and distribute detailed financial reports.
- Track change order requests and financial impact on the project.
- Forecast and maintain EFC’s.
- Confidence with spreadsheets (can maintain complex spreadsheets), databases, and statistical/graphic software.
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience to delineate scope-of-work, understand the full impact of findings on the business, develop recommendations, and partner with teams to implement recommendations.
- Demonstrated results in partnering with teams to guide quality/process improvements.
- Familiar with industry-standard software for scheduling and timekeeping. Knowledge and familiarity with SAP.
- Technical experience with the construction process and project finance experience.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Proficient in Tableau Software.
- Summarize information from a dataset with narratives, graphs, and charts.
- 1+ years of experience with SQL and relational databases.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Theme park experience in construction.
- Experience as a project analyst in the construction field.
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Industrial Engineering, Finance, Business, Construction, or applicable related
profession.
