About the Role
Reporting to the FP&A leader, the Sr. Data Analyst will be responsible for building, interpreting and auditing KPIs and dashboards to deliver real-time visibility into and measurability of corporate level business performance for our executive and extended leadership teams. Working with stakeholders across virtually every business function, the Sr. Data Analyst will contribute to driving a cohesive view of the key leading and lagging indicators of business value, leverage data to improve predictions and forecasts, assess performance relative to targets and scale our reporting and analytics capabilities to the next level.
This is a strategic, high-impact role that will help shape the future of Docker’s growth by providing analytics and insights to grow recurring revenue, improve unit economics and influence key decisions across the business.
In addition to being a core member of the Finance team, this role will be a key contributor to the centralized Business Insights team, owning the financial requirements and roadmap to scale Docker’s data infrastructure and sources of truth for critical business metrics and insights.
Responsibilities:

Maintain and enhance reports and dashboards to provide visibility into business and operational performance, including daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly executive-level business performance scorecards

Work closely with the centralized Business Insights & Operations teams, Data Engineering, data analysts and other stakeholders across the company to document and drive the Finance, executive reporting and analytics requirements and roadmap

Drive SaaS metrics standardization, real-time visibility and regular audits of metrics and dashboards including ARR growth accounting and customer segmentation, cohort analysis, retention rates, funnel analysis and conversion rates etc.

Collaborate with extended stakeholders across the business to improve accuracy and concerns with the data and provide recommendations to improve existing processes

Deliver insights and narrative-driven analysis on business performance
Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years experience supporting SaaS businesses in an analytical role

Expert knowledge of SaaS business models and financial acumen
-
Relevant experience in Analytics, Data Science, Investment Banking, Consulting, Strategic Finance or Business Operations

Strong proficiency in data modeling & SQL required. Experience with Python and/or R a bonus

Strong proficiency in leveraging data visualization tools (e.g. Looker, Tableau, Power BI) required

Strong communication skills with the ability to influence in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment

Proven ability to translate insights into action, working with large data sets, translating business drivers into financial forecasts and distilling key learnings to drive strategic planning and initiatives

Excellent written and verbal communication and requirement gathering skills. Expert documentation practices are a must.

Highly organized and effective planning and prioritizing skills; able to adapt and succeed in ambiguous situations with changing business requirements

Get up to speed on our data stack, pipelines and data/financial models, dashboards and key metrics

Take full ownership of existing Strategic Finance reporting deliverables

Deliver the “next-generation” of our weekly executive reporting scorecard

Drive and deliver mission-critical financial data & analytics roadmap items and ad-hoc projects/analysis

Recommend opportunities for continuous improvement across the Strategic Finance, BizOps and broader Data teams at Docker
