The Business Intelligence Developer position is responsible for designing, implementing and supporting the Driven Brands Business Intelligence environment as necessary to meet Driven Brands’ data & business objectives. Initiatives involve working with the Business Intelligence team and key business partners to develop actionable business insights, leveraging advanced data modeling, scalable ETL practices and providing informative visualizations to promote adoption of self-service analytics within the organization. This position will participate in ensuring deliverables and services meet all business partners’ requirements
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and deploy solutions within the Business Intelligence platform ranging from new data transformations, dashboard visualizations and master data management.
- Provide operational oversight, monitoring and problem resolution of production Business Intelligence solutions, including regular administration of the platform.
- Gather requirements for new Business Intelligence solution requests from the business and translate these requests into technical requirements.
- Adhere to established business processes for project lifecycle management, change control and coding standards.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years experience leveraging a Business Intelligence tool such as QlikSense, PowerBI or any comparable software to develop actionable dashboards with a focus on self-service reporting.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, including 3-5 years experience writing queries and leveraging advanced SQL concepts & data storage structures.
- Understanding or working experience leveraging big data querying platforms, Google BigQuery preferred or comparable (AWS Redshift, Hive QL, etc).
- Understanding or working experience of ETL concepts and data warehouse best practices.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate to various levels of management.
- Ability to work on cross-functional teams, with the capability to adapt to changing business processes, technologies and environments.
