The Modern Application Development group works on latest and emerging digital technologies to bring to life large digital transformations for our clients. We look for candidates who are digital natives and demonstrate dexterity in utilizing technology to solve real world problems.
The Business Analyst/ Product Owner is a person with extensive knowledge of an industry domain and associated business processes. He/She possesses experience in designing systems and applications that serve these processes in order to generate value for the end users. A motivating team player, he/she leads the development from the front in order to deliver end-to-end application development services to customers. He/she collaborates with professionals in the regional and worldwide DXC Application Services community to leverage modern solutions and bring expertise to ensure applications are developed as per business requirements.
The main goal is to ensure DXC delivers application services and to continuously improve our maturity in processes and technology, resulting in best in class technology implementation.
The Business Analyst/ Product Owner is motivated to take strong ownership of product management and delivery as per the business needs.
Responsibilities
- Working with the stakeholders to formulate and define the Product Vision and Roadmap
- Developing requirements and use cases for business process flows
- Facilitating the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables
- Managing the Product Backlog and its refinement
- Converting the requirements to Epics and user stories along with specifying the acceptance criteria
- Managing the prioritization of work in Product Backlog based on Product Roadmap
- Coordinating with cross-functional development team to impart requirement understanding including collaboration with the QA team on test cases
- Engaging with the stakeholders on project progress, required reports and value delivery
Desired Skills and Qualifications
- 6-10 years of experience in business analysis and product development of mobile or web applications
- Strong knowledge and experience on any of the following domains
- Financial Services, Banking and/ or Insurance
- Manufacturing/ Transportation
- Telecom
- Retail and FMCG
- Preferrable to have Business Analysis or Product Owner certification (CBAP, PMI-PBA, CSPO, PSPO I)
- Experience with common project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence and tools to design Mindmaps, Use Cases, GUI and prototypes
- Experience with Agile software development methodology
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills
- Self-starter with good analysis and problem solving skills
- Ability to deal with conflict and ambiguity effectively
Nice to have Skills:
- Knowledge and experience on Design Thinking approach
- Knowledge of Scaled Agile Frameworks like SAFe
