Job Detail:
Dynamis is seeking a Junior Data Analyst to support Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), in Huntsville, AL by bringing together theory and practice to identify and communicate data-driven insights that allow managers, stakeholders, and other executives in an organization to make more informed decisions on concepts of probability theory, statistical modeling, data visualization, predictive analytics, and risk management.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze processes conducted by HSI personnel at their field offices and identify opportunities for process automation and/or data science tool development.
- Provide Government with new capabilities related to data analytics, ingest, extraction collating, normalizing and processing.
- Develop and Implement sound data governance policy within HSI to ensure and enforce information integrity.
- Identify trends, detect high-risk areas for weapons proliferation and prioritize enforcement approaches by applying research and advanced analytics.
- Work with other data analyst(s)/scientist(s)/system engineer(s)/software developer(s) as directed by the Government.
- Deliver accurate, complete, and timely data to users across the organization.
- Assist the Government in performing evaluations of in-house designed and developed, COTS/GOTS and open source analytic tools and technologies that will further enhance HSI’s advanced analytic capabilities.
- Work with Law Enforcement Sensitive (LES) information within the guidelines of statute, regulations and policy governing HSI. As detailed in the Terms and Conditions all personnel will be required to obtain at least a Public Trust High adjudication.
- Work onsite at government facility in Huntsville, AL.
Requirements:
- U.S. citizenship.
- Ability to obtain ICE suitability (current ICE or DHS suitability is preferred)
- ACTIVE Top Secret clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited University in quantitative discipline such as computer science, data science, statistics, or mathematics.
- Three (3) or more years of experience in extract, transform and load (ETL) processes on data from open web, dark web, and websites hosted outside of the United States.
- Three (3) or more years of experience in designing, developing, and deploying advanced analytics in support of knowledge discovery/link analysis for law enforcement purposes.
- Three (3) or more years of experience in data ingestion, data sciences, integration, and fusion in response to new and expanding requirements.
- Experience using statistical programming languages such as R and Python.
- Proficient in the following Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
