Applications are open for Cyber Security professionals to join the East Metropolitan Health Service (EMHS) team

The EMHS consists of Royal Perth Hospital; Armadale Health Service; Bentley Health Service; Kalamunda Hospital; St John of God Midland Public Hospital and a range of community and population health services.

Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other “similar” vacancies throughout the health service. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.

Position Profile

This role is responsible for provision of support to the Chief Cyber Security Officer:

  • By managing a small team to identify and mitigate risks and develop business continuity plans in the event of an incident.
  • By actively fostering and demonstrating a culture of can-do, customer service, ensuring the delivery of a great experience to all customers.
  • By providing expertise, direction and guidance on the development, review and maintenance of ICT Management, ICT Disaster Recovery and ICT Business Continuity plans.
  • By undertaking evaluation of the EMHS vulnerability scanning process, identifying gaps, recommending and implementing improvements, and preparing plans to mitigate risks.
  • By undertaking complex research, planning and analysis related to new, emerging and existing Cyber Security strategic initiatives.

Area Profile: The East Metropolitan Health Service (EMHS) comprises an extensive hospital and health service network that aims to maintain and improve the health and wellbeing of more than 670,000 Western Australians in its catchment area.
