Brief primary function of your role:

Develop and support Eaton Supply Chain, data-based applications and integrations.
Meeting business needs, being robust, reliable and resilient. Providing quality outputs, which are traceable, auditable, accurate and timely. Supporting existing tools, and being at the heart of building new business solutions, from design, to execution, validation.
Involves working in a highly matrixed organization spanning domestic and international locations.
Respecting process, standards, governance and performance of the shared structures and technical environments.
Has a good understanding of the technical platforms, applications, and able to participate with the vision for the roadmap going forward.
Willing to work on projects with broad scope of deployment, including sector and/or region
Build and engineer solutions for global processes for various Supply Chain functional organizations.

Job Responsibilites

Your essential responsibilities include:

Collaborates as part of the technical delivery team for solutions from initiation through development, validation, go-live and user adoption.
Partnering across technical teams including EDA Platform, IDM, and support teams to deliver business results and value through projects.
Align with Architects and Senior Data Engineers to participate in the design, building and maintainance of data applications.
Data engineering, writing code and working in SQL, Shell Scripts, ADF, Python, PySpark, PowerBI, Informatica
Perform design reviews and code reviews, and implemen improvements and changes.
Experience working with large data volumes
Understanding business or Supply Chain Processes from a data and analytics perspective.
Regularly interacts with the customer to establish processes and advancing BI capability / usability centred on designing and delivering solutions that balance strategic and customer driven needs, whilst adhering to good practice and governance requirements.
Provides guidance / support locally within the region and globally as required to guide and troubleshoot complex problems in a timely manner.
Regularly communicates and reinforces status, prioritization and timing back to project, program and organizational leaders of critical success measures, issues, and mitigation strategies.
Following process, standards, for governance and performance of shared structures and technical environments.
Using good practice approaches and tools including Jira and Agile, Confluence for Documentation and Knowledge Retention, GitHub for CI/CD DevOps process.

Qualifications:

If you have: >3 years relevant experience and a technical degree. With experience in the following areas: SQL, Python/Py Spark, Advanced Analytics/Data Science, Big Data Cloudera/Snowflake/Azure or Similar. More importantly to you are keen learner, with a demonstrated appetite to learn in the field of Data Engineering and wanting to develop expertise in this field. It would also be useful to have experience of working with data pipelines, and data visualization (e.g. Power BI). A good communicator, and confident to work independently as well as working with others.
