Eaton’s Electrical Sector is currently seeking a Product Standards Business Analyst to join our team. This position is based at our Syracuse, NY or Highland, IL location.

Position Overview:

The Product Standards Business Analyst I will support initiatives focused around customer and business requirements by performing analytical activities on Eaton’s B-Line Business products within the SAP business system. The analytical activities will include discovering and correcting erroneous data within the SAP business system, creating new data to support customer and business needs, and analyzing business processes for accuracy while working with various manufacturing and non-manufacturing teams. The position will champion solutions to meet the overall objectives of our customers in a timely manner while working with internal teams focused on continuous improvement.

In this position you will:

  • Perform SAP business system activities focused around the creation and maintenance of master data elements including material masters, bills of materials, and routings
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and convert drawings into SAP business system models and master data elements (i.e. material masters, bill of materials, routings, etc.)
  • Collect, analyze, interpret, and summarize business data for internal and external customer requests using statistical and analytical methodologies and reports
  • Assist internal stakeholders with daily SAP business system requests
  • Manage projects using critical thinking skills to find the best solutions to meet the needs of the project and the business
  • Advanced Windows user demonstrating proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Work with global facilities to help resolve business data and process related issues
  • Assist in data discovery to develop and/or modify information systems
  • Usage of business system automation tools
  • Excellent communication skills

Qualifications


Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution is required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in business analyst, data analysis or engineering role
  • No relocation is offered for this position. All candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of Syracuse, NY or Highland, IL to be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in an ERP system such as SAP or Oracle
  • Ability to create and use Excel pivot tables and macros
  • Knowledge of database tables and how to create SQL select statements
  • Understanding of Eaton’s Crouse-Hinds, B-Line, Oil & Gas Group products, services, and processes
