In this role, you will be joining our Finance Technology team within the Operations Finance & Transformation function. We are catalysts for change – driving efficiencies, enabling innovation, and developing solutions to help our Eaton finance function deliver critical insights to our operations. As a member of the Finance Technology team, you will be embedded within our finance function to drive increased usage of modern technologies that will complement and enhance our existing financial systems landscape.

On this team, you will use your knowledge of a wide variety of finance technologies, along with your digital mindset, to facilitate broader adoption of these leading-edge tools. Your role on this team will be to figure out how to optimize Eatonโ€™s existing technology while also identifying modern technology and architecting innovative solutions. The Lead Analyst โ€“ Finance Technology & Transformation is responsible for leading the implementation of small and medium sized finance technology projects. The incumbent will design, configure, and implement finance technology with the occassional support of 3rd party consultants, IT couterparts, and teammates. The Lead Analyst โ€“ Finance Technology & Transformation cultivates innovation and experimentation. The incumbent will work with advanced solutioning techniques and leverage predictive analytics, machine learning, and other more cuttng edge innovation including leveraging low code/no code technology.

This position will partner closely with finance stakeholders to understand their technical needs, develop solutions, build reporting analytics and coordinate with data analysts/developers to implement identifed technology. The incumbent will perform as the functional designer to implement solutions for medium complexity requirements. The incumbent will develop user interface standards and implements the overall look and feel of the finance technology product.

Lead Analyst โ€“ Finance Technology & Transformation responsibilities:

  • Executes project scoping and prepares compelling business cases.
  • Responsible for requirements elicitation, requirements analysis and validation, testing scenarios and script development, solution design, and leading user acceptance testing for small and medium complexity projects.
  • Completes functional specifications and configuration; leads testing material preparation, unit testing, user acceptance testing events, production cutover, and warranty support.
  • Prepare end-user training materials and leads training.
  • Leads projects and implementations of solutions with occassional support of others.
  • Implements low/no-code automations for small to medium size projects.
  • Audits small to medium complexity financial processes and makes recommendations for improvements via technology, automation, or standardization.
  • Develops user interface standards and implements overall look and feel of the finance technology product.
  • Responsible for intermediate level technology solutions and system configurations
  • Able to understand and drive regional and divisional solutions
  • Supports end-to-end processes and has a strong level understanding of system touch points.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 4 yearsโ€™ relevant work experience (finance, data, IT, or reporting analytics)
  • High-level skill in Excel required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a global matrixed business environment preferred
  • Intermediate level of financial functional expertise
  • ERP hands on experience with SAP (ECC or S4), Oracle R12, Mfgpro, Mapics, etc.
  • Intermediate level of experience with Power BI (Business Intelligence), Power Apps, SAP BW (Business Warehouse), OBIEE, Tableau, Qlik, Dataiku, or Alteryx
  • Strong knowledge of Agile
