Position Summary
eBay is seeking a business analyst to manage the integrated planning process, as well as providing business requirements on process, tools, reporting enhancements. The ideal candidate will have experience interacting with business owners to support the annual and quarterly planning processes. They will need to have experience interpreting and defining business requirements and developing business and/or functional specifications. The successful candidate will need to have a solid focus on data analysis and strong knowledge of Atlassian toolset specifically Confluence and Jira along with plugins.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning
- Establish and communication of timeline and achievements
- Identify key dependencies between different planning processes and manage timeline to mitigate risks
- Ensure teams are meeting achievements and following QRP Process as defined
- Track team capacity and analyze capacity vs. demand to support quarterly and annual planning process
- Support annual planning processes, design templates to gather data, synthesized the collected data and summarized for leadership review
- Business Analysis and Documentation
- Identify and create requirements to enhance tools or reporting usage for planning, portfolio management, project management.
- Partner with Jira system admin to build or enhance tools or reports
- Ensure data integrity in tools and reports. Based on audit result, provide coaching to teams, share trends with Resource Managers, and develop training to improve
- Deliver, create and maintain training materials including document storage approach
- Capture and evangelize tips / best practices for company to make the most effective use of Atlassian tools
- Create Application Documentation (User Guide, Operations Guide, Training Manual, Change Management Process, etc.)
- Support ad hoc data analysis
Position Qualifications
- 3-5 years business analyst experience in e-commerce, strategy and/ or management consultancy background
- 1-3 years of experience supporting or leading annual or quarterly planning processes
- 1-3 years of experience with Atlassian toolset including Confluence and Jira including plugs in (Structure, Rich Filters, Script runner)
- 1-3 years of experience documenting business requirements
- 1-3 years of experience with process improvement
- Strong executive presence, facilitation skills, drive for results, attention to quality and detail, and a collaborative attitude
- Strategic problem solver who has an eye for detail, is organized, and can balance multiple programs simultaneously with varying degrees of ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
- A natural communicator and influencer, with an ability to grasp complex technical/business concepts and express them to others in a simple, clear language
- Experience with senior leadership and ability to deliver summary updates, reports and presentations
- Strong working knowledge of Excel and/or other data analysis tools
- Ability to work with cross functional teams across different time zones
Location & Travel:
- Position is based in Salt Lake City or Remote in the US
- Travel requirements will vary with assignments
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
