The Job
We are looking for a Data Scientist/Machine Learning Engineer with Life Sciences and Healthcare domain knowledge and capability to work on independent statistical and machine learning research/ projects in the healthcare/Lifesciences domain.
The candidate is expected to be a pro in understanding the problem statement and implement analytical solutions & techniques independently with a proactive leadership.
This data scientist/machine learning engineer will be engaged in consulting clients and other teams on advanced statistical and machine learning problems. Collaborate and Coordinate with different functional teams (engineering and product development) to develop/implement models and monitor outcomes.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Conceptualize, design, and deliver high-quality solutions and insightful analysis.
- Hands on experience in understanding, mining, and analysis of scientific literature, data from databases/medical devices/IoT sensors to drive research and algorithm development.
- Adept at understanding and discuss the applicability of various ML algorithms and approaches based on the problem-statement.
- Develop analytical approaches using techniques like statistical analysis, modeling; clustering, anomaly detection, reinforcement learning, root cause analysis etc. using machine learning and deep learning.
- Hypothesis framing and development of end-end analysis pipelines.
- An aptitude for learning new technologies and techniques in Machine learning and data science along with picking up the new platform quickly.
Your Profile
Must Have Minimum Qualifications:
- PhD / Masters degree in data science/computational biology or relevant engineering discipline.
- 3-15 years of related experience in developing algorithms and models in life sciences / Healthcare domain.
Software knowledge and experience needed in this role includes:
- Experience in machine learning, deep learning, and statistical modeling end to end development cycle
- Strong programming skills in Python, R, MATLAB, SQL
