The Role
Edgematics is looking for a Data Scientist to join our team.

Job Requirements
Years of Experience: 3+
Work Location: Kharadi, World Trade Center, Pune
Start Date: position to be filled immediately
- Setting up AWS SageMaker environments
- Work with client, stakeholders and SMEs to identify opportunities for leveraging domain specific data to drive business solutions. Collaborate with engineering team across domains and product development teams
- Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques
- Develop and implement custom data models for forecasting, prediction, and classification
- Develop machine-learning and deep-learning algorithms for business use-cases like increasing customer experiences, revenue generation, ad targeting and other business outcomes
- Develop processes to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy
- Collecting data through means such as analysing business results or by setting up and managing new studies
- Undertake preprocessing of structured and unstructured data. Transferring data into a new format to make it more appropriate for analysis
- Visualizing results in a clear manner
Ideal Qualifications
- Strong math skills (e.g. statistics, algebra)
- 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Experience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SQL, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets
- AWS Certified Machine Learning Engineer
- Data assessment, pre-processing, and Data wrangling
- Feature Engineering
- Machine Learning and Deep Learning model building and optimizing (hyperparameter tuning, cross-validation, etc.)
- Experience in analysing data and creating AI models and dashboards for domain specific use cases
- Experience working with and creating sample datasets
- Knowledge of and experience working with machine learning and deep learning models (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks
- Knowledge and experience in statistical and data mining techniques: GLM/Regression, Random Forest, Boosting, Trees, text mining, social network analysis, etc
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams along with technical writing skills
- Analytical mind and business acumen
- Problem solving skills with an emphasis on product development
- Ability to visualize data in the most effective way possible for a given project or study and present data for stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and with team members from different backgrounds
- A drive to learn and master new technologies, techniques and gather cross-domain knowledge
- Familiarity with Java and data management tools like Talend is an asset
