Product Analyst
Overview

Edifecs also has over 1200 non-healthcare customers (including Cummins, Toyota, AT&T, Apple Computer, Microsoft, American Express and Wells Fargo) who use Edifecs” software to enable compliance, improve governance and enhance operational efficiency.
Position Summary:
The successful candidate must have solid understanding of US Healthcare Payer and Provider domain and HIPAA transactions and other EDI Formats including HIPAA x12, HL7, FHIR, EDIFACT, NCPDP etc, The candidate should be proficient in Agile process, writing user stories and defining requirements, AWS concepts.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Understanding and defining requirements for Edifecs ongoing and upcoming products
- Elicit requirements using interviews, focus groups, document analysis, requirements workshops, workflow definitions, use cases, scenarios based on Edifecs Product Specifications
- Draft requirements by analysing and understanding companion guides and map to Product Business Rules and guidelines.
- Perform research and market analyses to derive features and enhancements for products
- Communication with customers on Requirement Changes and Release notifications.
- Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, and distinguish user requests from the underlying needs.
- Collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements to deliver the following artifacts: BRD, Use cases, GUI, screens and interfaces.
- Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to develop product specification documents, business architecture and state transition, solution design etc. Utilize your experience in using enterprise-wide requirement definition, management systems and methodologies required.
- Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Understanding and applying company policies and procedures.
Skills needed:
- Good understanding of Healthcare reforms and regulatory framework
- Strong knowledge on US Healthcare Payer and Provider domain
- Strong Knowledge on HIPAA X12, FHIR, HL7, NCPDP, EDIFACT transactions
- Good understanding of Agile process and Scrum master role
- Ability to document product features and functionalities in form of user stories, BRDs, GUI wireframes etc.
- Ability to define use case scenarios
- Experience in interpreting requirements and developing functional specifications
- Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
- Experience in testing, and user acceptance test planning for large enterprise systems
- Demonstrated ability to understand and apply company policies and procedures.
- BS or MS Computer Sciences or MBA related fields; Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP) and/or Healthcare (AHM 250) is a plus.
- 4-5 years’ experience as a business analyst/ Systems Analyst
Desired Skills:
- Understanding of Healthcare EDI transactions – X12, FHIR, HL7, NCPDP, EDIFACT
- Experience in Agile methodology
- Experience in managing requirements, development and execution working with engineering teams.
- Experience on Edifecs products is preferable
