The Wealth Management Advice and Solutions (WMAS) Risk Management is a first line risk capability responsible for the execution of the risk management framework within WMAS with an expanded focus on existing and enhanced advice, planning, products and services. The Sr. Risk Analytics Analyst will join WMAS Risk Management to mature our Risk Insights and First Line Model Risk Capabilities. The Sr. Risk Analytics Analyst will be responsible for 1) researching and developing WMAS risk analytics capabilities related to Risk Insights, including quantitative risk analysis, risk reporting, key risk indicators, risk appetite metrics and scenario analysis, 2) analyzing and communicating how risks have impacted or could impact business results 3) executing First Line Model Risk, in accordance with Enterprise Risk Standards.

Responsibilities
- Contributes to the design and executes the WMAS risk metrics program, such as key risk indicator and risk appetite metric program.
- Identifies and develops quantitative risk modeling needs methods for WMAS.
- Executes the First Line Model Risk program for WMAS through partnership with model owners and in accordance with Enterprise Risk Standards.
- Supports WMAS risk managers and functional leaders in quantitatively measuring risk.
- Models and develops risk simulation scenarios across WMAS risk functions.
- Transforms complex data/information into actionable insights, driving risk-informed decision making. Includes advanced risk analysis, forecasting, data modeling, statistical analysis, and complex financial modeling.
- Conceives and implements tools and methods of quantitative risk evaluation.
- Educate leaders across WMAS on risk analytics concepts and best practices.
- Provides risk insights through dynamic risk visualization, dashboards, and reporting.
Skills
- Technical experience in financial services, specifically wealth management, asset management, investment advisory, financial planning, banking, capital markets, portfolio construction, etc.
- Proven experience with advanced analytics in a highly complex data environment,
- Detail orientation with exceptional analytical capabilities, possessing the ability to effectively contribute across multiple teams and disciplines.
- Excellent communications skills, with the ability to present complex / abstract concepts in simple, cogent terms.
- The Analyst must have the ability to identify questions, analyze and recommend solutions to senior firm leaders for a broad spectrum of risk measurement intelligence in a clear and concise manner.
- Analyst must have the ability to implement projects of a moderate to high complexity which involve cross-functional teams, and therefore must be able to collaborate well with associates and leadership throughout the firm, including external vendors.
- 7+ years relevant work experience.
- BA required with an emphasis in a business discipline such as accounting, finance, economics, data science, engineering, analytics, or relevant work experience.
- Pursuit or completion of graduate level education preferred.
- FRM, PRM, ARPM or CQF certifications preferred.
- Ability to independently identify, prioritize, monitor, communicate, and/or resolve issues.
- Advanced analysis skills, forecasting, and complex modeling. Ability to understand and identify opportunities to apply the different types of statistics and advanced analytical concepts.
- Ability to summarize complex financial and analytical information and concepts, and clearly communicate to leadership.
Exceptional Candidates will have proficiency with most or all the following:
- Proficiency in spreadsheets, databases, GRC tools, and other software programs.
- An advanced ability to interact with various databases and file storage systems (DB2, IDMS, Oracle, Hadoop, NoSQL).
- Data manipulation languages such as PLSQL, Impala, SQL, Hive, Pig, XML.
- Statistical tools such as SAS, SPSS, R, or Python.
- Business Intelligence such as Microstrategy, Business Objects, SharePoint.
- Data governance or GRC tools
- Data filtering, manipulation, and visualization software such as Excel, Hyperion, Tableau, QlikView, etc.
