Job Description

As Lilly strives to achieve these objectives, Lilly Canada is accelerating the transformation of our customer engagement model, focusing on providing customers with exceptional experiences that are generated through seamless and coordinated engagements across functions in a timely and tailored way. Simply put, we want to engage the right customers with the right content through the right channel and at the right time orchestrating engagements across Marketing, Sales and Medical. To do this, we need to accelerate and scale capabilities in Omnichannel Engagement (OCE) across all customer-facing functions.

This platform will, ingest a wide variety of data sources, – apply business rules and run advanced personalized engagement models and integrate seamlessly with all other Lilly SF and marketing operations platforms to provide recommendations on “what should we do next” to the commercial and medical teams at the individual doctor level, enabling better decision making and improving customer experience.

  • Lead data requirements required data for platform configuration
  • Collaborate on business rule development across approved use cases
  • Collaborate with data team to supply required data, technologies used are Sql / Python/ Verso tool
  • Involve in platform testing/UAT
  • Support localization of user training material
  • Play highly collaborative role in the design and implementation of Omnichannel analytics initiatives
  • Collect requirements supporting new KPIs supporting omnichannel execution and customer level analytics
  • Design visual analytics enabling data driven decisions
  • Create and deploy small scale dashboards as MVPs
  • Document learnings and requirements for on-going report scaling and evolution of AWS data environment
  • Ensures all the design documents and data structures are maintained. Plans effective training, leveraging instructional design principles and strategy to create learning solutions for new members
  • Facilitate the review/approval process required for all documents. Reconcile all reviewer feedback and address all issues.
  • Create and oversee execution of project plan(s).
  • Participates on project teams; leads assigned projects.
  • Ensures compliance across relevant SOP and polices

Mandatory Requirements

Technical and behavioral skills/qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in quantitative/IT related fields (Engineering, operations, IT/IS, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Marketing, Mathematics)
  • 3-5 years total experience, with 1-2 years’ in manipulating and mining large data sets using SQL, including ability to debug code written by others
  • Strong understanding of how technology-driven data management and analytics drive better personalized marketing campaigns
  • Mix of Business acumen, technology, and communication skills to enable clear requirements gathering, hand off and testing across various deliverables
  • Good verbal and written communication to enable successful delivery in a dynamic environment in a large matrixed team and virtual work.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Recent experience with implementation of AI/ML-driven recommendation engines (working closely with data science and IT groups)
  • Prior experience in executing operations programs that use data-driven decision engines, in sales (through Veeva etc) or digital marketing (through SFMC, Adobe etc)
  • Certifications in SQL/Python or other querying/programming languages;
  • Project management experience/certifications- Experience working in Agile/Scrum setups, using JIRA or other relevant platforms
  • Fundamental understanding of the digital marketing ecosystem (customer data, analytics, content creation and management, A/B testing etc)
  • Prior experience with executing US/Global pharmaceutical Sales Force and digital marketing operations (Veeva, emails, web, P2P channels are used for marketing to doctors) and specific services (Epocrates, Medscape, Doximity etc), either with an agency or through in-house service centers

Additional Skills/Preferences

  • Ability to work across teams and build Team Lilly culture
  • Strong analytical skills coupled with business acumen, and an ability to think strategically in an ambiguous environment
  • Excellent communication (written & verbal), interpersonal influencing skills and prioritization skills with attention to detail
  • Basic competence in Coding Language (R, SAS, SQL, Python, etc)
  • Good to have basic exposure towards AWS
  • High level of motivation and a strong desire to find creative solutions to challenging situations
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams
  • Experience with Tableau, Power BI or other data visualization tools
  • Broad awareness and working knowledge of descriptive through prescriptive analytics
  • Experience in Analytics and Pharmaceutical Data with an understanding of complexities of data landscapes
  • Deeper experience and high proficiency of Tableau, SAS, R, SQL or other statistical and data mining tools
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and any applicable state and federal laws and regulations
  • Accountable with a passion for delivering results and a superior customer experience
  • Experience with Salesforce.com or Veeva CRM systems, Business reporting and analysis delivery
