Data Engineer – eCommerce
An opportunity has arisen with a Leading eCommerce / Retail Company who are undertaking a program of change. They are looking for a Data Visualization / Analytics Engineer to help them on this journey.
The program of change includes, a platform migration and an insourcing project which will see them take back ownership of their eCommerce platform from a specialist consultancy.
Preference is for candidates from New Jersey, where you would be expected to work onsite a couple of times a month. Candidates from other states will be considered but the role is only open to US Citizens and Green Card Holders.
Ideally having experience with SQL Server, Data Objects and an ability to Automate tasks.
2 years commercial experience is preferred.
The skills required are:
SQL Server – SQL
Python OR Java, C++, R
Tableau (ideally) OR Power BI

Analyze and organize raw data
Agile Development and BitBucket Operations

A keen attention to detail and solid analytical skills
Proficiency with Python and SQL to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets
Visualizing/presenting data for stakeholders
Recognizing when Data Engineering can add value to an intelligence problem, and when it cannot
Developing, maintaining, and testing infrastructures for data generation to transform data from various structured and unstructured data sources
Develop complex queries to ensure accessibility while optimizing the performance of No
Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture
Build and maintain the infrastructure to support extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL/ELT) of data from a wide variety of data sources
SQL databases, and other platform APIs, for data ingestion and integration
Configure and manage data analytic frameworks and pipelines
Coordinate with stakeholders, including product, data and design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs
Experience in integrating web solutions with ERP
