Description
Comfort Control, a business unit of Emerson Commercial and Residential Solutions offers innovative, reliable solutions to keep business running smoothly. We create comfortable, controllable workplace environments with our energy-efficient HVACR systems, and we solve the toughest industry challenges with our state-of-the art compressors, condensers, heat exchanges and related equipment. Comfort Control provides solutions for comfort, control and system protection for heating, air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
Based on our St. Louis campus and reporting to the Director Process Improvement, this critical role to Comfort Control has broad responsibilities focused both on our customers and shareholders. You will have the ability to work in an environment where process improvement and eliminating waste are a top priority to take the organization to the next level. This role requires a passion for learning new concepts as they evolve, and having a strong ability to communicate this as necessary throughout the organization.
As a Business / Data Analyst Intern, You Will:
- Coordinate with different departmental teams to map and develop business processes
- Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations to understand business performance
- Measure and analyze performance to drive improvement in forecast accuracy.
- Assist in identifying demand/supply process gaps and create improvement strategies
- Develop and maintain report tools
- Work with departments across the organization to identify opportunities for improvement
- Create reports for internal teams
- Work with team to develop KPI’s to measure effectiveness of business decisions
- Acquire and manipulate data from the organization’s central data warehouse to understand problems and address them proactively
- Assist in the development of presentations and reports
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCES & SKILLS:
- Undergraduate student currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or other IT-related programs
- Sophomore or above class status
- Data analysis experience using Excel or other specific data analysis tools
- Strong communication, collaboration skills and attention to detail
- Curious mindset and resourceful self-starter
- Legal authorization to work in the United States – Sponsorship for this role will not be available.
Preferred Education, Experiences & Skills
- Strongly prefer a GPA of 2.75 or higher.

Schedule
We offer the flexibility of a core hour work schedule. Employees can flex their start and stop times given they are working during the core hours of 9:00am – 3:00pm. Our teams work together to ensure their chosen work schedules are supporting our customers. This role is approximately 24 – 32 hours a week but is flexible. This role does not have an associated travel requirement.
