Job Location: Mifflintown, PA
The Live Operations Business Analyst will be fully embedded in live operations, knowing the ins and outs of the live business. Accordingly, they will fundamentally understand trends in live operations and proactively provide suggestions to avoid issues, or for improvements that positively influence results. In this role, the successful candidate will spend time in the field building both internal and external relationships, acquiring data and using that data to track key indicators and develop controls which will drive the company to stability and sustainability. The Live Ops Business Analyst will be an integral part of the TableTrust team, providing critical information and recommendations directly to senior leadership.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Spend time in the field developing relationships with all live operations including internal management, growers, and external business partners to grow essential understanding and knowledge of TableTrust’s live poultry operations. 40% of Role
- Know TableTrust’s live operations in and out. Use data to build trends, forecasts and strategies that guide and influence results. Anticipate problems through detailed analysis and provide suggested corrective actions. 35% of Role – Ongoing
- Track daily grain prices, as well as macroeconomic and agricultural conditions to provide insight to senior leadership for hedging decisions. 10% of Role – Ongoing
- Work effectively with the Senior Leadership Team, Finance, Live Operations, and Plant Management to ensure projections are on track, bird conditions are consistent throughout the houses, and KPIs are on target to ensure smooth operations. 10% of Role – Ongoing
- Other task and projects as assigned. 5% of Role – Ongoing
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum, four-year poultry or agricultural business degree
- Excellent Communication & interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate at all levels of the organization and across other functional areas
- Self-motivated with strong analytical/problem solving skills
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, primarily with Excel
- Excellent organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple work streams with strong attention to detail
- Commitment to succeed while maintaining a positive attitude
- Flexibility to travel locally, daily, to meet demand of the role, 24-50%
- Prior experience with Poultry Live Operations preferred
