Job Description And Duties
The EDD Workforce Services Branch (WSB) is seeking candidates to apply for an Staff Services Analyst (SSA)/Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) position in the CalJOBS Project Team within the Central Office Workforce Services Division. Working as an analyst, you’ll be part of a diverse and passionate team helping our fellow Californians get back to work. You’ll utilize your people skills and help your fellow coworkers thrive. You’ll take initiative to solve or prevent problems and implement creative solutions. You’ll provide excellent internal and external customer service. You’ll have energetic, knowledgeable and supportive team members and management to help you succeed. You’ll make a difference to support the people who support Californians.
Under the general direction of the CalJOBS Project Team Manager, the analyst will be responsible for the work necessary to complete the planning for the CalJOBS Modernization Project and the implementation of the CalJOBS Modernization Project. Analysts will develop vendor solicitations, IT solution business requirements, complete a variety of project planning documents, and more! Project tasks and assignments will be related to design, development, testing and implementation of an IT solution. A successful analyst in this position will have the skills to communicate and collaborate with project stakeholders, while remaining flexible and adapting to project tasks. Analysts will organize and manage multiple planning and project tasks simultaneously.

This position is located at 722 Capitol Mall in the heart of downtown Sacramento within walking distance to light rail, farmer’s markets during the summer months, the Golden 1 Center, the California State Capitol, historical Old Sacramento and an eclectic collection of retailers, restaurants, food trucks and entertainment venues. The EDD building has amenities such as exercise equipment and bike lockers. Electric bike and scooter rentals and commuter bus access are readily available.
