Responsibilities:
EnLink Midstream is seeking a talented Microsoft Power BI – Data Analyst to assist with the development of enterprise reports covering a variety of metrics and support training and implementation of continuous initiatives. This individual is expected to be able to handle the entire reporting and dashboarding lifecycle which includes requirements gathering, user acceptance testing, identifying opportunities for Power BI and operational support.
This individual supports EnLink’s IT team in engaging with the organization to help drive digital transformation and deliver data visualization for aid in making real time business decisions.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide guidance and best practices on the configuration and deployment of Power BI reports and dashboards
- Leverage Power BI to modernize existing reporting and data analytics
- Develop Power BI models using a combination of data sources, which can be organized and filtered for use by our customers
- Perform data cleaning and aggregation of core data sources
- Develop Power BI dashboards and publish to the respective workspaces for stakeholders
- Modify reports to optimize user experience and dashboard memory consumption for joins and other data set transformations
- Document and socialize models behind Power BI reports to promote transparency of analysis
- Provide Power BI training on varying levels of expertise to analysts and executives company wide
- Administer role-based access to employees for reports, dashboards, and datasets
- Recommend new models and statistical algorithms to further analysis
- Able to learn and adapt to understanding a variety of domains and develop cross-domain competency
- Manage customer’s and business stakeholder’s expectations regarding ongoing and future product development efforts
Qualifications:
- Experience with Power BI including DAX formulas and enterprise workspaces
- Ability to problem solve and break down complex problem into solvable pieces
- Strong experience in Excel (pivots, VLOOKUP’s, formulas, and charts) to dissect preexisting stakeholder workflows
- Experienced in data management, data analysis, data extraction
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to provide information to all levels of the organization, customers, and third parties
- Exemplary critical thinking and strong understanding of statistical concepts such as probability distributions, confidence intervals, regression, statistical inference, and descriptive analysis
- 1+ year working with Power BI
- 2+ years of experience working in an analyst role or related education
- Excellent interpersonal communication, decision making, presentation, and organizational skills
- Desire and ability to learn new technologies
- Strong can-do attitude in a time sensitive environment
- Familiarity with statistical programming languages and packages (SAS, SPSS, R, or Python) and SQL
