Enterprise Engineering Services, LLC (EES) provides mission-critical engineering support at the William J. Hughes Technical Center, FAA’s premier research and test facility, to facilitate the safety and efficiency of Air Traffic Control services on a nation-wide level. EES is looking to fill a Computer Scientist / Systems Analyst position with FAA’s Strategic Sourcing for the Acquisition of Various Equipment and Supplies (SAVES) Team.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
FAA’s Contract Servicing Branch is looking for a Software Engineer that has experience in database management as well as data visualization to support the FAA’s Strategic Acquisition Vehicle SAVES (Strategic Sourcing for the Acquisition of Various Equipment and Supplies). Create and maintain visual tools and reports that highlight current performance measures and project future trends on the commodities purchased under SAVES.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Generate ad hoc queries and reports.
- Create and maintain Microsoft Access and SQL Server databases.
- Create and maintain front end systems and displays such as Portals and Dashboards using data visualization tools like Salesforce Tableau and Microsoft’s Power Tools and Power BI.
- Create and maintain Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
- Create and maintain macros and visual programming code utilizing Microsoft Visual Studio.
- Design, develop and support technical data integration and/or retrieval systems.
- Develop data processing techniques and provide support to project computational requirements.
- Develop detailed analyses of data for numerous research areas, including but not limited to, quantitative and qualitative safety-related performance measures and risk indicators.
- Develop profiles and performance measures in consultation with government and industry subject matter experts.
- Define and develop performance measure candidates, data displays, and design of profile screens.
- Develop and document system interfaces.
- Perform exports and import of large data on a regular basis.
- Database validation and normalization of data.
- Monitor and perform quality assurance measures for Vendor performance valuations
- On an ongoing basis, reviewing Vendor reports for completeness and accuracy.
- Tracking compliance to performance metrics as specified in the Vendor contracts.
- Compliance must be reported on a monthly basis 10 days of after the reporting month.
- At the Contract Office Representative’s discretion participate in meetings with the SAVES Vendors, recording and reporting meeting minutes. Minutes must be provided in draft form 1 day after the meeting and in final form 1 day after receipt of government comments.
- Verify performance metrics such as pricing and commodities relevance.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- U.S. Citizen and permanent resident
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Math and 8 years of relevant experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Access, Microsoft SQL server
- Business Intelligence design and application
- Enterprise-wide data distribution and networking
- Information security and vulnerability analysis
- System database integration
- Data Manipulation and Analysis
- Database Management System software (use of software, installation of software, configuration parameters of software, and fault isolation of software problems)
- Troubleshooting techniques
