Summary
The Legal Solutions team within Legal Services is growing, and we are looking for Data Engineer who is experience in data analysis, data mining, implement databases, data collection systems and data analytics.
The Data Engineer will be responsible to explore and analyze discrete data systems to identify associated data / data entities and establish right relationship to create a single source of truth for business requirements, and to build optimized new databases / data warehouse / data marts / data lakes and OLAP systems.
Qualification and Requirements :
- Bachelors /Master s Degree in Information Science or Computer Science required – B.Tech, MCA, MS Computers.
Essential Skills:
- Ability to identify related and needful data in alignment with business requirements from discrete systems.
- Ability to analyze business processes and requirements.
- Ability model and interpret data.
- Ability to work in collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals.
- Build data models relating to business requirements.
- Strong in data analysis – take a business question or requirement and turn it into a data question. Eventually need to transform and analyze data to extract and answer to the question.
- Strong in MS-SQL and Azure SQL or Snowflake to query data and study for suitability of business needs .
- Strong in data accumulation, data mining and cleansing methods.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting fluently with team members, and few senior members across teams and ability to work collaboratively.
- Strong logical, analytical, and reasoning skills with ability to visualize processes and outcomes.
- Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance, and software improvement.
- Proactive issue resolution with a positive attitude.
- Highly motivated with a strong sense of commitment towards work.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work with management to prioritize business and information needs.
- Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems.
- Identify and establish association between related data from varied databases and application systems.
- Identify similar data related across discrete systems to create and setup a source of truth.
- Retrieve data from varied sources and prepare the data so it is ready for analysis.
- Filter and clean data by reviewing data readied for analysis to locate and correct data problems.
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
- Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize data efficiency and quality. Interpret data and analyze results.
- Locate and define new processes for data improvement opportunities.
- Learn new domains quickly, work in a fast paced, team driven environment, and communicate well with your peers and team members.
- Document data creation, accumulation and cleaning best practices, implementation approaches, technical solutions, using appropriate documentation standards.
- Working collaboratively internally to deliver chosen solutions.
- Write code in Transact SQL / Azure SQL / Snowflake SQL to extract, review and reconcile data, develop stored procedures and other DB objects for all data needs.
- Learn new DB or related technology as per business needs and contribute.
