Job Title: Software QA Engineer / Analyst

Reports To: Sr. Product Development Manager

Summary

The Legal Solutions team within Legal Services is growing, and we are looking for Software QA Engineer experienced in quality control and testing of enterprise cloud products, databases, business intelligence reports.

The Software QA Engineer will be responsible to ensure the specified quality of a deliverable is met by validating the requirements, functional implementation of requirements in alignment with definition of DONE. Will own end to end process of Quality Control for one or more products in Data Platform encompassing requirements validation, test case identification and creation, functional testing, non-functional testing, regression testing.

Qualification and Requirements:

  • Bachelors /Masters Degree in Information Science or Computer Science B.Tech, MCA, MS Computers, B.Sc Computers.

Essential Skills:

  • 3-5 years of Manual Testing experience encompassing functional, non-functional and regression testing.
  • Good knowledge in STLC, SDLC methodologies like Waterfall, Agile (SCRUM).
  • Hands on experience in analyzing the business requirements and developing functional points.
  • Hands on experience in database testing using SQL queries, to check the data validity & integrity.
  • Hands on knowledge of Git, TFS / Azure DevOps Projects.
  • Creating Test Reports as and when need be.
  • Knowledge on deployment tools like Octopus (Nice to have)
  • Web services/API testing with any tool like Soap or rest client (Nice to have)
  • Should have strong problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong in MS-SQL to query data and study data integrity and validity.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting fluently with team members, and few senior members across teams and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Strong logical, analytical, and reasoning skills with ability to visualize processes and outcomes.
  • Proactive issue resolution with a positive attitude.
  • Highly motivated with a strong sense of commitment towards work.

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Knowledge on deployment tools like Octopus.
  • Web services/API testing with any tool like Soap or REST client

Job Responsibilities:

  • Able to specify, plan and deliver new or updated application functionality.
  • Create test cases to identify software problems and prioritizing testing activities.
  • Execute test cases and report defects, define severity and priority for each defect.
  • Carry out regression testing every time when changes are made to the code to fix defects.
  • Should be strong in defect detection analysis.
  • Analyze bugs and errors found during tests.
  • Document results of tests for Dev members and other stake holders.
  • Recommend improvements in software to enhance user experience.
  • Ensuring the quality of the system as a whole.
  • Research and compare similar competitive implementations or products.
  • Maintain updated knowledge of industry trends and advancements.
  • Owns the projects/products modules and reports to Project/Product lead / Manager for work.
  • Works with team lead, Business Analyst and/or Product Owner.
  • Participate in transition of the products/projects.
  • Working on multiple projects to support client/customer needs.
