Equifax is looking for a Data architect to join our world-class D&A team in USIS. You will be working in a dynamic environment, where we embrace moving quickly to design the strategy, identify the roadmaps and support the execution of the data and analytics roadmap strategy. In this exciting role, you will apply your technical expertise working across analytic, product and technology domains to design and enable execution of data and analytics strategy.

We are looking for an energetic, engaging, individual with the ability to guide, motivate and build relationships across our teams. Communication and presentation skills are essential to successfully communicate assessments, challenges and achievements to D&A and Partner leadership teams.

The candidate should have a desire to learn new concepts and have the ability to work in a cross matrixed, collaborative and evolving organization. The role is currently an individual contributor role and will be based out of our Midtown or Alpharetta, GA office location.

What you’ll do

• Gather requirements from BU/COEs for data and analytics strategy and develop key roadmaps to guide cross-team work from the perspective of D&A projects.

• Build and maintain data infrastructure for the optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of sources including Google Cloud big data platforms.

• Cleaning and wrangling data from primary and secondary sources into formats that can be efficiently utilized by data scientists and other data consumers

• Collaborating with engineering teams, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand how data can be leveraged to meet business needs

• Design, develop, implement, and translate business requirements and the data strategy, including standards, principles, data sources, storage, pipelines, data flow, and data security policies.

• Work with D&A Leadership to clarify and communicate business priorities, key analytic requirements to and from various stakeholders to ensure proper execution frameworks are in place for key D&A initiatives.

• Apply a strong product focus, to support the D&A teams in proactively tracking and reporting of the Strategic KPI’s such as data and cloud cost flows across projects and deployed assets etc.

• Work alongside D&A and across our partners in Planning and Execution to identify roadmaps, timelines and blockers to enable effective execution of strategic D&A projects and initiatives.

• Mentor and educate other teams around proper use and applications of the data and analytic assets.

What experience you need

• 5+ years Data Warehouse/Data Lake Architecture and Development

• 3+ years Data Modeling & Architecture

• Experience on Cloud Solutions, preferably GCP

• ETL/ELT Pipelines

• Non-Relational Database experience (Document DB, Graph DB, etc.)

• AI/ML experience (Jupiter&/Python)

• Workflow orchestration tools like Airflow

• Expertise in SQL, Python & Scala

• Data prep

• In-depth knowledge and experience needed to operate independently with limited guidance and oversight

• Good understanding of high-level data architecture, data models and user flow patterns

• Project oversight, project management client facing experience

• Comfortable with ambiguity and ability to work through vague requirements with minimal oversight and process
