The EB Interface Analyst is a member of the Technology Strategy Organization. They will serve as the liaison between the operational business areas and our IT counterparts to prioritize, define, test, and implement enchantments to data integrations within the platform and with external parties.

Responsibilities

  • Operate as member of the Data Architecture team responsible for new development and implementation, problem resolution, and production support activities related to data integration within the platform and with external parties.
  • Drive business analysis efforts, including requirements gathering / documentation, user acceptance testing and delivery to support Equitable’s Employee Benefits platform capabilities and integrations.
  • Work directly with Equitable IT to implement any changes required for interface enhancements, platform improvements, and the data feeds incoming or outgoing as needed as well as designing best in class methods to achieve this.
  • Assist in monitoring and managing our system data quality as well as inbound and outbound data feeds.
  • Work with various stakeholder include business leaders, external sales and technology teams, internal Sales teams, Equitable IT and other Employee Benefits team members in regard to the questions or issues that may arise with our system enhancements and strategic partner or vendor implementations.

Data Gathering and Analysis: Describes alternative data-gathering techniques and tools. Documents basic data-gathering methodologies. Identifies the purposes of data gathering and analysis. Identifies key objectives in gathering and analyzing data about learning needs.

Business Process Design: Identifies a business process re-engineering methodology for a specific situation. Describes the phases of process re-engineering. Explains the purpose of business process design or re-engineering. States the key business process design rules in own area.

Requirements Analysis: Cites examples of functional and non-functional requirements. Describes basic concepts and major activities associated with requirements analysis. Explains the life cycle context and scope of requirements analysis. Explains the structure and components of effective requirements analysis documents.

Design Thinking: Lists the principles and major consideration used in design thinking processes. Describes the elements and processes of design thinking. Illustrates the importance and necessity of applying design thinking within organization. Explains the benefits of applying design thinking using successful business cases.

User Acceptance Testing: Explains features and objectives of alpha and beta tests. Identifies major activities and documents associated with user acceptance testing. Cites multiple examples and types of acceptance tests for user acceptance testing. Compiles a list of procedures and guidelines for test developers and end-users.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Explains the obstacles and benefits of cross functional collaboration. Identifies the objectives and basic concepts of cross functional collaboration. Cites a successful example of cross functional collaboration has helped achieve organizational goals. Discusses tools and methods used for developing cooperative relationships across teams.

Additional Qualifications

  • 2+ years working with data integrations, or systems analysis, or business analysis
  • 2+ years SQL experience
  • Skilled with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong desire to understand end to end system impacts.
  • Possess a high level of productivity, reliability, responsibility, attendance, dependability, organization and accuracy/thoroughness
  • Previous experience working with EDI integrations (electronic data interchange).
  • Prior Employee Benefits Experience is a plus but not required
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate with technical and non-technical personnel, external vendors, brokers, and agents if required.

The base salary range for this position is $54.900 to $79,000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility.
