Junior Analyst – Venture Capital Fund
Ev2 Ventures is looking to add an entry level investment professional (1-2 Years of Experience) with prior venture capital investing / Investment Banking experience
About Ev2:
Ev2 Ventures is a Smart Mobility Micro VC, that is investing for impact at venture scale across key mobility segments: Electric Vehicles, Logistics Technology, Micro-mobility, Agri Supply Chain etc. The fund is investing in Early to Pre-Series A startups across the Indian EV & Transportation ecosystem. The Fund has already invested in 4 companies is looking to make multiple more investments over the next year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, source investment opportunities both directly and through a network of contacts at universities, VCs, incubators, accelerators, etc.
- Evaluate new investment opportunities and conduct detailed due diligence, along with identifying the trends in various sectors through primary and secondary research and build a steady pipeline of new prospects basis the investment thesis
- Develop and Maintain Investor Relations by connecting with VCs and potential investors along with maintaining cordial and healthy relationships with LPs, Institutions and HNIs.
- Support investment team in negotiation and investment execution
- Assist, manage and monitor individual portfolio companies along with supporting the board members with various tasks – including financial and operating performance, strategic value-add in steering portfolio companies and preparation of periodic reports
- Establish and maintain strong professional networks inside and outside the network, and nurture new and existing portfolio companies, including facilitating contacts for the companies
- Assisting managing the investment and finally helping generate an exit
- Develop and deliver periodic reports on the portfolio and regularly creating fund review reports for investors
- Assist in and coordinate investor reporting and fundraising support
- On the fundraising front, assisting with outreach to investors / fundraising material and quarterly reports, including execute various projects as needed, including developing and researching investment theses
Qualifications:
- At least 1-2 years of work experience post MBA from a leading institution
- Typically the candidate would have worked in a Venture Capital Fund or an Investment banking outfit (Both Sourcing and Execution capabilities are a must)
- Flexible to handle multiple tasks Flexible to handle multiple tasks ranging from sourcing startups to investor relations
- The ideal candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Writes, speaks and presents information effectively, clearly and with brevity. Communicates to improve understanding, decision making and performance
- Self-motivated, and result oriented; skilled performer with strong research, problem solving, and time
Compensation would be Base + Performance Bonus and the position would be based out of Gurgaon.
