Job Description
As the Data Science intern, you will assist our technology team on creating, analyzing, gathering and visualizing data. You will work alongside a mentor to drive meaningful insights for our gaming teams and Factor.
What You’ll Do
- Analyze, transform, and mine massive amounts of data to extract useful insights
- Utilize cloud computing platforms to process data in a scalable and automated fashion
- Design and build business intelligence dashboards and data visualizations
- Assist the Innovation and Technology team to develop data strategy
- Manage day-to-day operation of Genius League events and activations including scheduling, task assignments, and reporting to Collegiate Leadership
- Assist with the project planning, management, and delivery for Genius League activations
- Digitally engage with fans, collegiate students, and universities
What You’ll Bring
- Must be currently enrolled in a program related to Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Math, or Statistics.
- Juniors, Seniors, or master’s degree students
- Minimum GPA 3.0 preferred
- Knowledge of building and operating tournaments or events preferred
- Experience with analytics and creating reports
- Experience developing in Python
- SQL and Git experience preferred but not required
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Familiarity with object-oriented programming
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Self-starter with a strong sense of urgency
- Ability to multi-task and organize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work as both an independent contributor and engage teams and teammates
