Join us for a 6-month internship designed for students to help you reach your career goals by providing hands-on projects that highlight skills from the classroom and will impact the organization. You will be given the opportunity to work with the geniuses across the organization to devise engaging experiences for fans and students globally. With great power comes great responsibility, as you’ll be tasked to pitch and execute your own projects to develop the repertoire of skills you learn from the classroom. Job Description

As the Data Science intern, you will assist our technology team on creating, analyzing, gathering and visualizing data. You will work alongside a mentor to drive meaningful insights for our gaming teams and Factor.

What You’ll Do

  • Analyze, transform, and mine massive amounts of data to extract useful insights
  • Utilize cloud computing platforms to process data in a scalable and automated fashion
  • Design and build business intelligence dashboards and data visualizations
  • Assist the Innovation and Technology team to develop data strategy
  • Manage day-to-day operation of Genius League events and activations including scheduling, task assignments, and reporting to Collegiate Leadership
  • Assist with the project planning, management, and delivery for Genius League activations
  • Digitally engage with fans, collegiate students, and universities

What You’ll Bring

  • Must be currently enrolled in a program related to Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Math, or Statistics.
  • Juniors, Seniors, or master’s degree students
  • Minimum GPA 3.0 preferred
  • Knowledge of building and operating tournaments or events preferred
  • Experience with analytics and creating reports
  • Experience developing in Python
  • SQL and Git experience preferred but not required
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Familiarity with object-oriented programming
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Self-starter with a strong sense of urgency
  • Ability to multi-task and organize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work as both an independent contributor and engage teams and teammates
