What You’ll Be Doing:

Our EDWBI team at New Century Health (wholly-owned subsidiary of Evolent Health) is looking for a Technical Lead to part of EDWBI platform team to help build data driven analytics apps leveraging existing EDWBI platform
Essential functions
Design and implement construction and enhancements of NCH enterprise data warehouse including ETL and user-facing presentation tools, such as Microsoft SQL Server SSIS, SSRS, SSAS & PowerBI while collaborating with a Data engineers & BI Developers.
Design and implement construction of OLAP or Semantic Layer based on business needs for advanced analytics
Mentor and guide data engineers, consultants and data analysts in design and development processes.
Establish and implement standards and strategies for Data Validation approaches and Master Data Management, lifecycle, and data quality.
Define best practices and standards for the data modelling process, software development life cycle and Agile methodologies.
Creation and maintenance of the logical and physical data models for the production and Business Intelligence data warehouse and data marts.
Release Management: Manages DWBI release calendar and change management process including managing coding standards, central code repository and code release to production.
Engineer workflows using cutting edge functional techniques – You will be part of a team that develops interactive analytic solutions against healthcare data. You will learn functional techniques that enable our systems to ingest data, generate insights and distribute meaningful insights.
Deliver work in Agile process – You will work in Agile processes for your day to day work. You will work closely with other engineers to deliver critical business enhancements on a bi-weekly cadence. You will be expected to participate in hackathon and innovation opportunities on a quarterly basis.
Code review fellow team members according to corporate standards – Part of your responsibilities will be to collaborate with your fellow engineers to ensure quality and performance of the enhancements. Your opinion will be critical to the success of your colleagues – just as much as their opinions will be critical to your success!
Follow Continuous Delivery processes for software development and deployment – You will be expected to maintain exceptionally high quality of code check-ins with enhancements being shipped to production environments on a regular basis. It will be your responsibility to ensure that automated controls for validating software quality are kept up to date and functioning.
Key competencies/skill/success factors:
Requires hands-on knowledge of developing data applications using SQL Server 2016 and MS BI suites (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS).
Hands on experience with data modelling, building queries, data warehouse, data marts, and cubes.
Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in healthcare (e.g. claims, finance, authorizations, pharmacy data).
Professional speaking abilities; able to articulate thoughts with both business & technical audiences
Qualification and Experience:
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences or related fields
Minimum 7 years’ experience in building and managing Data Warehouse and Analytical platforms.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in leading design and architecture of Data Warehouse development and BI applications.
Big plus
Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) or Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD)
Experience in building data validation platform using Master Data Services (MDS) and Data Quality Services (DQS).
Familiarity with Power BI Online and Azure cloud based data warehouse technologies.
Knowledge of addressing query performance issues, indexing, data profiling, DMV’s, DMF’s, and other database related activities.
