JOB DESCRIPTION

The Enterprise Data group is focused on building a robust data platform which services a diverse set of investment teams and internal clients. The group consists of data sourcing experts, data specialists, data scientists and data engineers, who are responsible for the discovery, management, and curation of thousands of alpha sources for the firm and our investment professionals.

Responsibilities:

• Help clients understand the use of market data and alternative datasets in their investment strategy
• Collaborate with investment teams to maintain a list of important investment debates
• Initiate research design process using alternative datasets including social media, supply-chain, remote sensing, geospatial, pricing/transactions, market research, etc.
• Participate in brainstorming meetings with investment and data teams to breakdown investment debates and offer solutions
• Discover opportunities to create re-usable analytical products for tracking studies
• Champion our products and educate stakeholders on our capabilities

Qualifications:

• Master’s in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or related field
• Ability to generate and present insights from diverse datasets
• Data engineering proficiency is desired using AWS/big data services (i.e., EMR, Glue, Redshift)
• Experience creating written content and graphs to answer investment debates through datasets
• Goal oriented and industrial in approach, multi-tasker
• Strong problem-solving skills including intellectual curiosity with strong analytical, quantitative, and critical reasoning skills
• Strong written and verbal communication, with experience presenting to investment and executive teams
• Experience in or a strong understanding and interest for AI/ML products (preferred)
