Job Summary:
- Looking for a talented and self-driven associate who can partner with EY’s business stakeholders to deliver research projects within GTMI team. The team manages several structured and non-structured cross sector research projects such as Corporate governance research analysis, Inter governmental agreements daily research projects and various sector specific ad hoc projects. The deliverables will include various newsletters, verification projects, thought leadership papers and short-term ad hoc research projects originating within GTMI research team. Some of these products or services, such as those for certain accounts or pursuits, may be delivered on a fee for service basis, if agreed upon in advance.
- The role requires a combination of analytical skill and target oriented working mindset along with strong focus on high quality deliverables for supporting EY Knowledge clients. The individual will also be required to provide uninterrupted and timely support to the clients during peak season period within key projects. A collaborative mindset is also crucial, as associates often will have to work on projects across various teams within the EY Knowledge portfolio teams.Finally, given the dynamic nature of the market and the need to operate as we advise our clients to– this role requires someone who has an entrepreneurial spirit, an agile mindset.
Core responsibilities:
- Function as a key contact person within the team to deliver time bound research projects within the team
- The Associate should be able to conduct research on prescribed information sources and package information on company and/or executives.
- Prior knowledge about Corporate Governance topic will be an added advantage, especially to explore Russell 3000 company profiles and constantly track the CXO level changes happening across US companies
- The associate will also work on scanning 100-200 Government websites and relevant external data sources daily to capture any key news published across these websites
- The typical information deliverable shall be around the following (non-exhaustive): Research on Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA); Company overview, public filings, news, locations; Executive profile, Individual news look up; Audit Committee members, Board member affiliations, Executive listing
- The associate will also work on various cross sector projects arising within GTMI team on a regular basis and will have to adapt their method of working as per the client project requirements and tight timelines
- Strictly adhere to the defined methodologies and SLAs at the same time should be innovative enough to try new approaches to simplify existing methodologies and processes within the team
- Support Analysts and team leader to deliver process improvements projects within the team on a regular basis
- Constantly upgrade the knowledge base as per EY knowledge rank expectations

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
- Strong communication (excellent reading, speaking, and writing skills in English is a must) and presentation skills
- Skills in MS office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required
- Any exposure in using external tools such as FACTIVA, BoardX will be an advantage
- Familiar working in a fast-moving, client-driven environment, consulting/professional services firm
- Consultative mindset and integrated teaming approach to service delivery
- Professional, confident, credible and an enthusiastic team player who can work effectively across functional teams and domains
- Flexibility in working hours to accommodate multiple time zones as needed
- Any prior project management skills will be good
- Experience with relevant software for data analysis and visualization such as Power BI desirable, but not required
Education
- Graduate degree (Commerce / Business / Economics)
Work Experience
- 0-6 months in corporate environment
- Relevant experience in secondary research
- Knowledge and experience within a professional services environment an advantage
