As a valued colleague on our Loan Quality Reporting and Analytics team, you will assess business stakeholder requests and collaborate with your team to determine solutions to solve business needs, use applications and BI tools to explore and understand data, and provide BI insights and solutions to improve Fannie Mae’s risk management capabilities, and generate process efficiencies.

The Business Intelligence – Senior Associate role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

  • Analyze data to drive business decision-making capabilities and manage credit and collateral risk.
  • Draft automated business processes and mechanisms to generate meaningful reports, identify new risks or generate process efficiencies to help us deliver on Fannie Mae’s vision and purpose.
  • Contribute to identifying, researching, and resolving problems, including developing and implementing requirements for new features, enhancements, dashboards, potentially new algorithms/models.
  • Contribute to designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining business intelligence (BI) applications and tools.
  • Attend meetings to discuss and identify customer needs and strive to do what is right for our customers.

Qualifications


THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM


Minimum Required Experiences

  • 2 years related experience
  • Skilled in data exploration and data wrangling using SQL. Can generate custom data tables.
  • Excellent communication skills with experience gathering accurate information to explain concepts and answer critical questions. Proven ability to translate between technical and business users and terms.
  • Experience in the process of analyzing data to identify trends or relationships to inform conclusions about the data.
  • Skilled in the graphical representation of information in the form of a charts, diagrams, pictures, and dashboards with programs and tools such as Tableau, R Markdown or R Shiny.
  • Ability to successfully work with people possessing different functional expertise in a respectful and cooperative manner towards a common goal.
  • Experience using BitBucket or Github.


Desired Experiences

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Mortgage industry credit or collateral risk experience.
  • Risk assessment and management experience including evaluating and designing controls, conducting impact assessments, identifying control gaps, remediating risk, etc.
  • Experience with AWS S3, Redshift and Aurora DB solutions.
