Job Details:
As an Analytics Engineer at Federated Insurance, the candidate will need a strong foundation in enabling machine learning. The ideal candidate has experience designing and developing data pipelines in Python, carefully analyzing data requirements, and working side-by-side with data scientists to develop and implement machine learning models. The candidate should have a desire to work in an in-person, innovative and collaborative team environment at our Southern Minnesota headquarters.
Responsibilities:
- Enabling and serving machine learning/predictive analytics models
- Carefully analyzing data requirements and procuring data sources
- Designing and developing complex data pipelines in Python
- Architecting and designing sustainable applications
- Serving machine learning models including:
- Developing and tuning data pipelines
- Developing REST APIs
- OAuth2 security development
- Monitoring and refreshing models
- Support positive change and promote innovative application of technology
- Participate in open communication and collaboration with your team, business partners, management, and other Information Technology personnel
- Evaluate and implement new Information Technology concepts and techniques, technical and industry developments, and services
Minimum Qualifications:
- Four-year degree with a preferred major in a data science-related field (Computer Science, Data Science, etc.); or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3 years experience in Information Technology
- Prefer candidates with insurance experience
- Experience in any/all of these areas is helpful:
- Object oriented programming, preferably Python
- Data design
- SQL
- REST APIs
- OAuth2 security
- Microsoft Azure DevOps
- Tableau
- ServiceNow developer
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and techniques
- Experience in agile environment
- An unquestioned ability to retain confidential data
